I have to edit my 5 star review from years ago citing knowledgeable staff and good selection.Smarmy sales guy who knew nothing about the products, and the inventory and selection.... Might as well not have home theater section. Just buy it online.

Went to geek squad for a simple question on why my Airpods won't hold a charge and they forced me to make an appointment for the next day. Hate geek squad and any of the fake tech guys who work there. Please find people who can actually help customers and do not take their time to help people once they finally do.

I paid for the Best Buy Total membership for nothing! I was told when I was purchasing it I could take other items in but I would have to pay for parts. I made an appointment to get my samsung tablet screen fixed in my home town. Went to that appointment for them to tell me they are not samsung certified. So I then make an appointment in Rockford for the back of my phone to get fixed and to see about my tablet getting fixed. I went all the way to Rockford for them to tell me that they would have to keep my phone for up to 2 months waiting for the replacement part to come in. They also told me they can't fix my tablet screen because they don't do those there. So I purchased this membership for nothing!

The Geek squad is a joke. If you have an Apple issue, save yourself the headache and ship directly to Apple or go to their store in Schaumburg. There is no way to call the local store. They lie to you and say the store lines are busy. What they aren't telling you is that they made these phone changes during covid. That is Best Buy's excuse for using an overseas call center and reducing costs. The lady I spoke to in the phone kept mentioning the Rockford store but set up my appointment in Rochester. The Geek squad chat support just closes the chat when you don't accept their script. It happened twice. They always want you to make an appointment with the minimum wage geek squad employees that have no real world experience. I am so disgusted that I will never visit Best Buy again. Best Buy should have remained a public company.

I stopped at store to ask Geek Squad about getting a replacement battery installed for my laptop, and was told they have to send it out for that. I asked why geek squad could repair computers but not change a battery and was told I had to leave store for being insulting. I have shopped at Best Buy for years, but after this experience, never again. I told him now I understand why they only have a 2 star rating, and I will spread the word how I was treated at this store.

What a lovely experience at Best Buy today!I became fast friends with JB who greeted me at the front door with kind smiles and a compliment before pointing me in the right direction. He was also there when I was leaving to ensure all of my needs were met. Shout out to Keegan who sold me my new laptop! Keep up the great work!

We went in to purchase a computer and found an open box that would fit our needs. As we were paying we were informed they had mislabeled the item and wanted over $200 more for it. They stated they would not honor the price that came up when the associate scanned it. This was the store's mistake, which most businesses would honor. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service.

Just swung by for an online pickup. Very fast and courteous service. I just parked in a numbered slot, texted that number to the store and in less than 5 minutes, a worker was out with my purchase. Loved it!

They will find every excuse in the book to not deliver to your house no matter how ready you are for it, If you are buying from them I recommend having a vehicle to pick it up and a person that can do it themselves because Best buy doesn't have either of those.

They like to bait and switch items. They will not match the shelf tag that is in front of the item, they say the item is in the wrong spot.
