About Davis Park at Founders Landing
Davis Park at Founders Landing is a nice little diamond in the ruff and a quiet place to chill, fish, watch the water, and relax. It is a great place to walk dogs. Visitors find it a beautiful place to take photos. The park holds many memories for people, especially of fishing at the Rockford Dam and spending time with family. It is a pleasure to visit a place that was once abandoned and find enjoyment in the way the whole park is arranged. Some aspects could use attention. The parking lots could use a little love, with a couple of huge potholes to avoid. Some miss the skateboard ramp and note the sidewalks need to be redone. A fence blocking what was considered the safest way to go has also been mentioned as an issue. Overall, it remains a loved spot for walking, relaxing, and remembering.
