I owe a shout out to Cat over here for the incredible work she did for me this past week!Because I do not have time, space, funds, or truthfully the desire to put much effort into styling my hair, I typically end up at Great Clips after my hair has been overgrown for the better part of a year. I am a stylish girl, but this is my truth.I go in, ask for an aggressive trim and layers, and call it a day. I am always happy, the staff are always pleasant, and they are efficient.This time around, I was hesitant to choose Great Clips; I wanted to invest in a haircut that actually amplifies my personal style but still requires little of me. I've never relied on them for anything other than simple cuts. This time around, I had a specific point of view.They got to me in a timely manner despite it being busy when I arrived without checking in online. I heard all of the hairdressers providing excellent service and advice to their clients while I waited.When it was my turn, I gave Cat an out to just give me a basic hair cut if blazing a new trail was not the vibe. She assured me that we were going to accomplish whatever I wanted to. Her confidence made me feel totally at ease.Next, I had her look through the SEVENTEEN different inspiration photos I brought. She listened to what I was looking for and kindly guided me to an idea that married what I showed her with a cut that was perfect for MY features. THEN she executed it in like 15 minutes ??♀️In and out, easy peasy. That part is funny to me, because I look like a different person after 15 minutes of chatting with a stranger!I almost crashed my car because I kept looking at how cute I was in the rear view mirror after I left. My coworkers were shook. My boyfriend is obsessed. Every time I leave the house I get compliments from strangers. I have so many more options of how to style my hair with minimal effort now, and the face framing she did for me is so ? I don't actually have to do anything to look fantastic. That cost me $19.I deeply respect all stylists for what they do, but that was really something special to me! To anyone wondering whether a "real" haircut requires an appointment, takes a long time, and costs 3 times as much, now you know: You can trust these people to do something wonderful for you without a second thought, and without setting you back any time or money.Anyway, thanks again! :)

This is to commend Kaitlyn, who is a stylist at Great Clips on Deanne Drive in Rockford, IL. Kaitlyn has been styling my hair for over three years. She is the best I have ever encountered. My hair is difficult because of a right-side cow lick. Most stylists do not know how to deal with that, and my hair flies after being cut. Kaitlyn knows exactly what to do to prevent the flying. Yesterday, she gave me the best haircut I have had in my 84-year old life!!! Also, Kaitlyn has an endearing personality. She is warm and friendly. I look forward to seeing her every time I need a haircut. In my opinion, Kaitlyn is a Great asset to Great Clips. Mike Payden

Older lady had such a hard time cutting my 5 year old son’s hair. No one else from the other locations have ever had any problems, he’s pretty good at listening to the hair dressers, he shy and doesn’t like making people upset with him.She kept telling him to sit up straight when he was, he’s 5 and should have required a booster but instead she kept saying he wasn’t listening.He likes hair cuts because the suckers after, he knows what to do and I was right there to make sure he did listen. She kept saying her back was hurting from trying to cut his hair, she was rough when holding his head and had finger prints on his neck, I would have said something then and there but it wouldn’t have come out nice because my emotions at the time. Normally this is done in 15- 20 minutes but this took about 45 mins…. Normally they take the electric trimmers and buzz and then trim but she used the trimmers and mostly used scissors, I know there’s more ways to get the job done but this took longer and was very uneven. She was sort of rude, she didn’t say anything rude just her tone and demeanor. She seems annoyed mostly.In the pictures included the red marks have faded a bit because it had been about 15 mins since we left.
