I have been coming here since 2004. In that time, there's been ups and downs, as you'd see anywhere, but I can confidently say that today this church is more welcoming, loving, freeing, and healthy than I've ever seen it. Something is happening here that isn't even quite explainable. But if you're looking for hope, this is the place to be. Their slogan is it's a place for "Anyone and Everyone" and it's lived out. They offer childcare from very young to 5th grade, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the building itself is nice and well kept. Love their music, too--their band is amazing!

Put simply, I love this place. Through all the ups and downs of my life and my faith, Forest City Church has been there. Many of the most significant events of the last decade of my existence have taken place within these walls. And as my faith has evolved over the years, so has Forest City, but in the best ways possible. I love what the church has become in the past couple years. I love the focus on racial reconciliation and it being a hill that Eric says he will die on. Amen. And me too. And it's not just talk with them. They're putting their money where their mouths are in hiring and what they preach. Also, being a person who has been hurt by Christian institutions in the past, Forest City has given me a safe space to heal, and unfortunately, that is rare in far too many evangelical spaces. To sum it all up: It feels like a family because it is.

If you're looking for a church that focuses on your relationship with Jesus, than this is the church for you! When they say anyone and everyone, they mean it. Their Subversive series in Feb 2022 was phenomenal and the Lent devotionals sent by email have been amazing as well. If you miss a message, you can listen on Spotify or Apple Podcast. Tiny Church is another great resource to fill your tank. Not only does Forest City give generously to our community, they are generous globally as well and really appreciate their volunteers! Lastly the staff is extremely energetic and welcoming and you will not find a better worship team ! I feel so blessed to have Forest City Worship here!

I love what’s happening at FCC nowadays. It’s been my home church for many years, but only recently have I felt it’s grown with me. I grew up in a very closed-minded and racist environment. Proud to be a part of a church working toward racial reconciliation, as I work on eliminating the racism inside my own heart. They don’t just pay lip service to it either, but actually sit down to have those tough conversations. The church’s hiring practices reflect this, as well. Too many church’s “our team” page looks like a failed Wordle puzzle, not so anymore with FCC. I think there is still work to do toward full equality for everyone (as there always is), but the moves Eric, TJ, Trevor, and Steve have made thus far are super encouraging. My cynical-on-church heart has definitely been encouraged and that’s a huge thing. ??

Borrowing a couple of phrases from the series The Chosen that I think exemplifies this church, “Come and see” and “Get used to different”. FCC is all about Him being is at the center of it all. We say…Anyone and Everyone! It’s not a slogan. It’s an action. It’s a way of life. I can’t wait to see what God’s got planned when we can do it together for Him.

I tried this church in 2009 as an out-of-state intern at a local company. My first time at this church, I found a seat, sat down, and then a woman with 4 kids came in, told me I had to move or else because it was "her row".So much for welcoming visitors....

The pastor and staff are not what they seem. Do not go to this church. People are nice and the music is great but the pastor and staff are not good. We messaged the pastor for help and he never responded to my husband for one thing. He also turned us down when we asked for help (I'm not even asking for money either). We needed help to move and he basically blew us off. He says he helps others with other stuff but when a member asks for something simple he turns them down. ? What kind of pastor is that? Do you really want a pastor like that? That is why we quit the church. I messaged him saying I'm going to quit because that is not how a pastor or a Christian should act and he never said anything ?.

After a year of virtual church due to covid concerns, we were finally able to attend a live Easter Service this past weekend. Everything went well until the very end. Masks were worn by most everyone and the rows were properly spaced for safety. Great experience thus far, but then it's time to leave. At this point, Heartland restricts the departure from the auditorium and then the building to a single exit. So 100's of people are forced into close quarters for several minutes. Needless to say their exit strategy needs to be addressed. Use the large space you have and the many exits to your advantage.

It was such a great church but without Mike Breaux and Josh Peigh it feels completely empty.
