“It was nice. The suite was spacious. The bed was a bit lower than what I'm used to. The mattress is close to needing to be replaced. The self serve breakfast buffet was also nice. My stay was too short to enjoy their other amenities. The staff was friendly but a bit standoffish.”
“Rooms: Clean!
Nearby activities: Casino, food, walmart
Safety: Exploring the world of cameras and their incredible teams!
Walkability: To casino, shopping, and restaurants
Noteworthy details: Full breakfast, pet friendly, and reliable staff!”
“We often like staying at these with family as they all have a kitchenette it is great when you need to stay in town for a little bit. And even for a single night the rate is pretty good. It was clean and both of our rooms smelled fresh.”
“We came to Rockford for a show at the BMO. We came from 5 and 1/2 hours away and we're exhausted by the time we got done. It was late and nothing was open for dinner. So we went to a Denny's and just luckily candlewood was 2 minutes away. Everything was nice and close. We arrived and Scott got us checked in quickly and gave us ice, because they didn't have machines on the floors due to it being an extended stay hotel. The room was spotless, beds and pillows were very comfortable ❤️?. I usually bring my own but forgot so this was a blessing. Bathroom was nice and clean with a good selection of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I would definitely stay here again if I came back very comfortable and cozy. Great job guys!”

“I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Rockford for one night in October 2024.
Overall, I had a very positive experience. The room and the location were good but it was the exemplary service of several of the hotel employees which really stood out and made a difference!
The rooms were decent (3 stars). They are definitely showing signs of age (just normal wear and tear) but they were clean. It was also quiet - I don't recall hearing any noises (in both the room and the hallways) from any of the other guests.
The lobby was really nice though and with water readily available. I was most amused by some cute seasonal paper decorations (of a raccoon and two squirrels) that were on the counter of the front desk. They were very cute (picture included)!
I had no problems with check-in but one member of my group was told that they could not find his name in the system. But once we relayed the actual hotel room number (where their roommate had already checked in), the receptionist was then able to find his name.
The location is fine. The hotel is among a cluster of about a dozen hotels off of I-90 near the exit towards Rockford. Last year I stayed at the Hampton Inn Rockford but I had a much better experience this year at the Fairfield Inn. I did miss the turn on to Bell School Road (which leads to Walton St) multiple times. It is about a 15 minute drive to downtown Rockford, but it is highly recommended you have car access if that is your destination. There are various stores and restaurants in the immediate area and CherryVale Mall is just a 5 minute drive to the south.
I was most impressed by the outstanding service. I was coordinating accommodation arrangements for 13 people spread amongst 8 hotel rooms. I had several phone conversations with Nikita, who I never met in person but she really made a difference in making it a seamless and stress free experience. Nikita was incredibly helpful in adding an extra room to the reservation when we had a last minute change in attendance, in confirming all of the confirmation numbers, and in rearranging the occupants (particularly the secondary names on the rooms). What could have been messy and taken a lot of time became an easy process due to Nikita's efforts.
Nikita was also great in helping to secure early check-in (I checked in around 11 AM instead of the normal 3 PM and it was much appreciated).
Normally, breakfast starts at 6 AM but that Sunday, my group was there for an early morning event and we needed to leave the hotel by 6 AM. Nikita and the general manager (Sarah) were able to contact the hotel employee (Mary) and she was willing to set up breakfast half an hour early at 5:30 AM.
Mary was friendly and helpful. In fact, there are other reviews that also mention how nice she was. Mary mentioned that in the past 7 years, they had never gotten a request to set up breakfast earlier. So the fact that the hotel was willing to be so flexible and hospitable to meet my group's needs definitely makes the Fairfield an ideal location for an organization to make a group reservation.
The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I passed on the standard bananas and oranges and had a generous amount of tasty watermelon and strawberry. The eggs and yogurt were good. I was disappointed by the lack of potatoes/hashbrowns and the orange juice was a little watery. I did not try the omelet, sausage, veggie sausage, or oatmeal. The waffles were popular - instead of one big waffle the machine made 4 small waffle quarters, which made it easier to choose a portion size appropriate for one's appetite. I don't drink coffee but several of my colleagues did. Numerous people commented about how good the coffee was and that it was on par with that of popular restaurants and coffee shops!
I would definitely come back to the Fairfield Inn, and would strongly recommend it for l”

“The young woman at the front desk with the pretty colorful hair was extremely friendly but professional and was always working.
The hotel needs a little updating but they are in the process of doing that. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
We love the shower pods and breakfast was good.
We would definitely stay here again.”

“We stayed here this past weekend for a wedding nearby, and I'm glad we made this choice! Reasonable pricing, and our room was clean. Shannon was helpful, and provided all the info we needed when checking in. Would stay here again if we're ever in the area.”

“Decent place but it was a good thing I brought my own pillows. No fridge, micro or tissue box, a lot like a clean bare bones motel 6 with slightly better bedding.”
“I had to make an emergency stop while traveling and came across this hotel. It seemed not to be the most pleasant but the staff were super friendly and very nice. They have exceptional service as far as customer service goes. The rooms are a little out dated but very clean. I was very satisfied with my stay and every question I had from directions to food was answered during my stay. The front desk ladies were very helpful and even helped load my car when leaving because of the snow. I'm elderly and appreciate all their assistance. If you're looking for a nice place that is quiet for a nights stay this is the place to go to. And it is right off the highway. Thank you to the wonderful ladies in the front for helping me. I will definitely return if I'm in the area.Rooms: Old but very clean and comfortableFood & drinks: Lots restaurants nearby up the roadNoteworthy details: Staff very friendly and helpful”
“Nice location on the waterfront. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The pool area is lovely. Breakfast was our favorite part about it, the food and service were phenomenal. Chef Shavez and his crew did a wonderful job cooking and servicing. Overall it was a great hotel to stay at.”
