I absolutely love this bank!!! The staff is so friendly and welcoming ☺️, you can tell they really want to help you. I have made some requests that I wasn't sure they could help me with, and they went above and beyond the call of duty - with a smile. Thank you so much Illinois Bank and Trust for being my bank, and actually caring about me!!

This bank along with the VP served and helped me in one of darkest moments. Shared values and they are about community.

My lord, don't bother with this terrible bank. There website is circa 1995, customer service is terrible, application process was an absolute nightmare. Went with ally in the end, online, easy to apply, complete snooze fest after this cluster. Never cut a card before I even use it before...

We have been long time customers, but recently they have taken a downhill toll. They have no sympathy for their customers. I have overdraft privileges on checks for emergency purposes. I had an emergency and wasn't able to put money into my account to cover a check that went through. They decided to return the check and charged me a bunch of fees. I've never had an issue with is overdraft privilege before. They refuse to tell me why they returned the check. They refuse to refund any fees that were associated with their mess up. I requested to have the account closed as I'm just going to stick if First National Bank and trust as they actually care about there customers. They refuse to close my account because they still want to keep charging me fees for everything. They have terrible customer service. You call the customer service line. They can't even help you. The banker on the account as to do everything. The bankers are ignoring all my emails that I have sent to them. I have over 15+ emails with them, and maybe 2 responses. Still don't know the reason why this all happened in the first place as they are refusing to tell me. Sounds kind of suspicious to me...

I started banking with Riverside Bank because they used to have a real person answer the phone.. They have grown and built so many layers I feel de humanized and when I contact what I think is my local bank I get to talk with someone far far away.. Ok Illinois Bank I just don't feel the love anymore.. not sure what to do!

My experience has been mixed. Some staff are helpful but others seem to look for ways to throw up obstacles. Actually being helpful takes more effort I suppose.

Be nice if you could call the bank and have someone answer the phone for questions or have basic information like hours on their phone recording. Difficult finding their actual hours. Online it said they would be open so I drive there and the bank is closed. They need to update their hours online so customers can plan ahead. Also their debit cards are horrible because the chips on 2 of my cards didn’t work most of the time even when they were new. It’s a pain when I work 84 miles from home and my debit card doesn’t work. Banks okay but definitely annoying but still better then midland.

I was a long time banking customer For Illinois Bank and Trust, prior to the merger. I was always impressed with the customer service and hometown feel. In December 2019 I had a double mastectomy, lost my job and was going through a divorce. I contacted the bank to look at options for freezing the account or working on the fees, fast forward with no empathy, no options and I am now -1,600 and working just to cover fees enough to try and close the accounts.

I would like to file a negative complaint to Illinois Bank and Trust. They reported us late to the credit agencies for June and July when the amount was clearly paid in June and July (double payment & documented) and paid off in full July 1st also our mortgage was paid in full in Oct 2019 (documented) yet still shows as open to the credit agencies more than 6 months ago and they are indicating they’ve been trying to correct for more than 6 months.

Customer service was extremely rude to me about my dormant* account, security guard threatens me as well. I wouldn't suggest banking with this institution.
