Customer service was very negative and non informative, and most of the vehicles showed were bad maintenanced and high mileage, do not recommend for a first or any car.

No only do they sell junk cars, "Inventory Manager" Josh is one of the most unprofessional managers I have dealt with in awhile. Couldn't/Wouldn't answer basic questions about repair protocols and documentation. The entire operation is unprofessional..

I bought my Town and Country with Josh at Berger Motors. At first I was hesitant because of the negative reviews but after speaking with Josh and also having my van for a little bit now I can confidently say this place is wonderful. With realistic expectation of not having the cars bought at a buy here pay here for 3/5 grand last forever or be in perfect condition, my van runs great. There is no mechanical issues and that’s the most important thing. Josh not only made sure to put myself and my two young kids in something safe that works best for us but also worked with me as far as price and what I was able to put down as a deposit. He is an excellent salesman and I’m happy to have brought my business to him. My family and I are very grateful

The cars are quickly assessed for immediate problems and sold. The chance of an underlying problem afflicting the car after purchase his high, but the chance that it’s severe is low. It’s truly a roll of the dice, but the odds are preferable to true randomness such as with Facebook marketplace or Craigslist.I would purchase from Mark again, although I would pay a mechanic to check the car beforehand. The car that I bought this time was only checked by mark and his team. They noticed and replaced a faulty wheel bearing. After purchase, I took it for an oil change where they found significant damage to the gas reserve and an oil leak. This resulted in about $500 of repairs. After the repair the car is in great shape and including the repair cost with the purchase price, the value is still good and represents the fair market value of the car.Mark is charismatic and careful with his words. He will not assist you with anything after purchase. He provides a false sense of backing before purchase and sweet talks you into believing that the problem wasn’t there yesterday when you bought it.Be careful to distinguish promises with implications. Mark absolutely follows through with all promises made before purchase, but the implications he provides of having your back are worthless. This is typical of salesmen, so it’s not a bad thing, but it’s just not exactly a great thing. My final summary of Mark is honest, but slick. He truly is a professional salesman with profit being his driving force. He is true to his word, but his word is difficult to fully decipher. All that you should take to heart is his outright promises, and if he doesn’t assure you specifically, then it’s no good. He will try to help you as much as he can, but remember nothing comes before profit. He is not concerned with how your car will perform tomorrow, so look out for yourself, have a mechanic look at the car, and as long as you do that, Mark should be able to find you a great car for a reasonable price.

Literally the worst and most racist experience I’ve ever had. No one came out to greet or say anything to me. And once I went in everyone was rude for no reason at all. I stated I wanted to test drive a vehicle and the man said he doesn’t let anyone drive and proceeded to drive me around in the vehicle. Unbelievable!

Don't buy no cars from here they just sell messed up cars that won't even last 2 months shoot barely one! Cars mess up cause accidents and risk your lives! That's why they decide to work with you and say great deals as they want to get rid of all their messed up cars and then when you tell them they won't fix anything but expect you to pay! One of the worse dealerships in Rockford IL! Let's get this place shut down before someone looses their life in their unsafe cars that they sell, my friend and myself almost did!

Well to get straight to the point they dont say anything about how the financing is only for specific cars. not anywhere that you can visibly see it anyways. the ones they put out for display that you drive by apparently they don’t finance, they said they couldn’t finance the car i wanted but its not that they couldn’t, just that they did not want to and reason being that its “on display”. lost a customer but found a better place that met my expectations from a car dealership. anyways one star for me being the fact that they don’t match up to what they’re advertising.

Josh the sales manager at Mark Berger motors is an very honest sales man. He does not sugar coat anything to you. He makes sure you understand everything about the vehicle. This car lot, keeps there cars running like new. Very understanding .... Ready to communicate and work with. Positive environment and attitudes. Easy finance paperwork, won't be in there for hours on end , I would highly recommend to anyone trying to get an dependable reliable vehicle.
