Dave @ ReTool is a great guy who is very knowledgeable about the tools he sells. If you're doing a job, save money when you buy it from Dave, and then sell it back to him when you're done!

Dropped off my tool to repaired 2 weeks ago and every time I called to see if it's ready they say this afternoon still waiting 2 weeks later I'm needing it hopefully next week

This lengthy negative review is based on a potential selling experience and horrible customer service.My Dad passed away over the summer and even though I live out of state now I have been trying to help my Mom sell his tools. I contact Dave and he seemed super nice and eager to help at first.On September 7th 2023 he asked me to send some pictures of the tools and that he would go through them and schedule a time to meet.We schedule for him to come to my parents house on September 16th 2023. He proceeds by no showing for the appointment and leaving my mom hanging. I lose communication with him and have to call the shop the next week to get answers. He proceeds to tell me that he had an emergency and his messages didn't send. I said ok no problem things happen right?Time goes by and we are finally able to reschedule again for him to come out October 18th 2023. He shows up for the appointment and does the appraisal. He then tells me that he will have an offer over to me by October 21st 2023 and if I accept the offer he would pickup the tools November 1st 2023.The 21st roles by and he tells me he is still working on it. OK I get it I am sure he is busy but at this point I would have rather him say he doesn't have time for this. The weekend goes by with no communication after that and I have to yet again call the store to get answers. He says I will send it over to you within the half hour and hangs up. What has to be the longest half hour in history, days roll by with no communication yet again. I call the store again and someone else picks up the phone because Dave is busy. She proceeds to tell me she will get with him and get it over ASAP.More time rolls by and NOTHING! This was the last time I have spoken to anyone from Re-Tool whether it be through text or over the phone. I have called the shop multiple times which as this point I am sure Dave just lets it ring because he recognizes the name/number and puts me to their voicemail that isn't set up.Dave seemed like a nice guy every time I talked to him but I feel like he is not a man of his word and wasted mine and my mothers time. I get things can be hectic but I managed my own store for 3 and a half years. The most important thing in customer service is COMMUNICATION. If life/things were going on where he was too busy to deal with this I would have rather he told me up front so I didn't have to waste my time and energy trying to work with him. I have never bought anything from Re-Tool but based on this experience alone I will never recommend anyone to purchase or sell to Re-Tool because he will just string you along. If I had negative star option I would give it.

Three strikes. No more. Tried to go there three times. Once a guy sitting outside who forgot his keys. Once nobody home with no sign. Then today a sign saying last minute closure all while well within posted business hours. Not going to waste my time again.
