Great shop with friendly owners for decades. Excellent stop for singles with large, set-sorted boxes and multiple cases with higher value cards.

Have been to tgis shop a several of times over the past 15 years but the prices are getting ridiculous. Charging $280 for a booster bundle that has 18 packs... but sells loose packs at 8$ each which is still double but that puts the bundle @ nearly 16$ a pack. Thats 4x the msrp and even 2x the market price... sad to see shops with super scalpers prices.

Awesome owners that have been in the business for at least 30 years of my knowledge. They have been able to keep up even after COVID had affected so many small businesses.
The owners are just such amazing people.
There is plenty of parking, the selection that they carry is amazing from pokémon, MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, and even some of the other collector items.
Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Magic the Gathering tournaments Fridays at 6:30pm

Great card shop in Rockford, good prices on pokemon products and the staff is super friendly. Just wished that they had some dragon ball products then I’d go way more frequently

Went in for Pokemon cards specifically. They have a good amount of singles and binders to look through. However, they are very overpriced. Had a card marked and priced as a master ball card when it was not, another card was marked at $40 which is double the actual worth. Gets defensive too when you say something about it. FYI they go off of the higher end of eBay listings for card pricing, not even sold listings.

Me and my buddy Bryan love coming to robins nest and always feel welcomed there. They charge far less than most local card stores and have a real scratch my back I'll scratch yours feeling. The staff here are generous and quite helpful in helping you search for anything that they have to offer. To sum it up Robin's nest is one of my favorite places and as long as you treat everyone there with respect and don't swear it should be yours too.

My boyfriend and I visited Robins Nest for the second time, since our first visit was wonderful and the customer service was incredible. As for the second time, the owner and one of her employees had rushed us since we were browsing and enjoying our time as we have been there for not even 20 minutes in the shop. The owner told us to stop and leave within 5 minutes since we were just browsing and not getting much cards as we already handpicked the cards that we wanted. She then accused as that we have been coming back to the shop weekly and have been damaging her cards. I then defended myself that we haven't been here in 2 weeks as this is our second time coming, she then tried to help us out as she noticed she had offended us. But I wanted to get out of there as fast I could, since I would not be coming back. A little note, the cards are overly priced.

Gloria was so nice. She gave me a free pokemon card (a ho oh), told me about the history of the shop, no tax, got top loaders, three cards, an obsidian flames pack, and a prismatic evelutions etb box for my cards to be stored! I definitely am coming back. Best card shop, and it's right down the road. Note: I would recommend TCGPlayer for your price checks, or Ludex. Thanks!

I have had both great and terrible experiences here over the years. I’m not going to get into all of that bc I still genuinely believe that this is a cool place to go if you really love Magic the Gathering. They have a ton of really cheap singles here, and if you love random kitchen table magic the gathering builds, or the commander format, it’s a great place. Problem is, i don’t like commander at all so I don’t come here much, and they price things off of eBay listing rather than use TCGPlayer for comps. Not my first choice for gaming in the area as there are a lot of choices, and most are cheaper.

What a wonderful place. I visited here for the first time with my son the other week and was treated as if I was a regular customer. Tom was patient and kind as I asked him questions. The prices for Magic cards are so low you'll end up buying more than you intended which is great because you're supporting a fantastic store. This is the cheapest I've seen magic cards go for. I went in another day and Gloria helped me pick out the perfect toy for my son. They've earned themselves a regular customer and I'm happy to support such great people who have a genuine love of the hobby. On top of all that, if you're a veteran let them know. I won't say anything more except this is a very veteran friendly business.
