Our stay at the Embassy Suites exceeded expectations. Lovely view of the river, very quiet rooms, cool warehouse / industrial space, very friendly staff. The breakfast was really good, too. The pool water was warm.

It seems like a very nice place. Our company had it's Christmas party here over the weekend. My only complaint as far as the location itself would be that there is not enough parking nearby when other events are going on in the downtown area.Maybe they need to consider building a parking garage specifically for the hotel and people using the other hotel facilities such as the party rooms and restaurant.

The hotel was wonderful, beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The room was spacious and I had separate work and sleep areas, temperature was perfect. The evening reception was a pleasant surprise, some wine and appetizers to round out a long workday was welcomed. Starting each day with a solid breakfast was fabulous, the omelettes were absolutely delicious, toast, tea, fruit, it was all great and the breakfast team was wonderful, every single one of them.

Overall, it was pretty underwhelming. No designated or covered parking, reception was lacking, service was poor, food and drinks were boring, hot tub was dirty, barking dogs, room looked unfinished. Overall, I did feel like my room was clean, but that should be the bare minimum, right? I would not choose to stay here again. All of the fancy amenities that "justify" the price are not worth it. You can save yourself some money by staying at a cheaper (but still nice) hotel and go have MUCH nicer dinner and cocktails somewhere else in Rockford.Side note: The staff let themselves into my room unexpectedly early in the morning. The managers did help me get a discount for my trouble, but this was very unsettling. I highly recommend you double lock your doors -- especially if you travel solo.Rooms: The room seemed unfinished. You can tell that they are going for a more industrial style, but that doesn't mean stained concrete walls and peeling furniture varnish.Safety: A staff member let themselves into my room unexpectedly early in the morning. This made me feel very unsafe.Food & drinks: I did not get to try the rooftop bar as it was closed when I was there. However, the in-house restaurant was not good. I was not greeted when I walked in, I was then asked "do you want to eat, "and finally forced to choose my own table in a busy restaurant I had never been to before. Talk about uncomfortable. I only found out about the free guest reception because I asked. The restaurant's food was boring and overpriced. My flatbread wasn't even warm, and my pasta was overcooked. The appetizer and dessert menus were severely lacking.Noteworthy details: This hotel has no designated parking. You will be expected to find public parking nearby, which is uncovered, unsecured, and requires payment. Thankfully, parking is free between 5p and 8a, but since checkout is at 11a, you will still need to worry about paying for those few hours of overlap. Way too stressful for a guest.

Great Embassy hotel right on the Rock River in downtown Rockford. Great location friendly staff, awesome breakfast service (a little different than normal Embassy but better). Even thought it was just 1 night stay everything was great and we will return in the future to see other parts of the hotel we missed.

We stayed at this property for one night for a concert at the BMP center with our kids. We loved it so much, we've already booked a couple more nights for future events. We found a city-owned lot that was free on weekends on the next block. We’re used to paying up to $60/night for hotel parking, so this was a huge win. The location was also beautiful for our kids to run around with some good photo ops. The walk to the BMO center was short and with the police presence after the concert and the crowd, we felt very safe. It’s also about 5 minutes from some of Rockford’s museums. From the front desk to the breakfast staff, the housekeepers we passed in the hallway to the restaurant server, everyone was incredible—friendly and patient with our kids and they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The food in the lower level restaurant was A++ with reasonable prices for hotel dining. $10 for a kids meal seems steep, but the portions were huge. The free breakfast had a huge variety, and we loved that it was so organized! Our room was HUGE and clean. The rooms were dimmer than we’re used to, but we thought it added to the upscale industrial vibe of a converted factory. The decor was super cool. Beds were comfy and the rooms were quiet. The view was phenomenal from the 6th floor on the river side. Can’t wait to return!

This is such a great place! The location on the riverfront is beautiful. The old building they renovated is so cool. I love the architecture and decor. Very nice pool and an even better restaurant. The food at the Tower restaurant is tasty and has a great presentation. Its a small menu but has something for everyone. The rooms are clean and modern. The staff were very, very friendly and helpful. But the best part of my experience was the omlet I had at the made to prder breakfast. It was the best ive ever had. Our family love to stay here. ❤️Safety: Very well lit parking lots!

The company I am a part of had an event there a few weeks back. There were roughly 80-100 people there, and it was an awesome event. There was one issue that came up, the event coordinator made provisions for food trucks to be outside in the parking lot for the noon break. However, unbeknownst to many of the guests of the event, is that the hotel did not want us to bring the food truck items into the hotel. There picnic tables outside that were supposed to be used to eat our lunches. They only allowed food from the hotel in the building. From a business standpoint, I get where they are coming from. However, when you consider the fact that we have this many people in suits, dresses outside in the muggy heat eating out of to go trays. Many who didn't know about the no eating of food bought outside of the hotel were chased out. Add the fact that there weren't enough picnic tables to eat at. Guest were trying to connect and network in that situation during the lunch break, really left a bad taste in the mouth of many. Despite that issue, the event was an overall success. The staff were polite and welcoming, our beverages were tended to very well, and the restrooms were well kept. The rooftop party afterward was awesome!Safety: Though I didn't see much in the way of security staff. You felt safe enough to walk around the premises, to and from parking lots or local restaurants and etc.

Loved this hotel! It was very nice! Everything about it was high-end. The food was amazing. The service was some of the best we've experienced- especially in the hotel restaurant. Will who works the breakfast was so warm and welcoming there. He explained everything, and the food was absolutely delicious. The views were great. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet. We didn't get to experience everything we wanted, but we would definitely stay here again. Parking is odd because there's no hotel parking, only public parking that you have to pay for. That's the only downside but it's under $20 and as close as if it were their parking lots so again no complaints. Keep up the great work!!Rooms: Industrial lift with high-end touch feel.Nearby activities: Short walk to restaurants, shops, UW Health Sports Factory and more. Plus 2 restaurants in the hotel and things to do in the hotel as well. Near Rockford letters by the river you can take pics with.Safety: We felt very safe walking to and from UW Health Sports Factory and to and from the car in parking lot regardless of time of day/ night. Very well lit.Walkability: Can walk almost anywhere down there.Food & drinks: Tons of options within walking or driving distance or there's 2 restaurants in the hotel as well. Plus room service is offered.

A nice surprise in the old downtown. The hotel used to be an old plant and almost like a museum with information about the old factory. Industrial decore but not cold. Great rooms and views. Great breakfast included.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and fantastic customer service all throughout. Our water downstairs was very nice, we tried eating at the roof top cafe (and we were accommodated) but we left due to menu limitations (picky kids) and the hostess was so sweet and referred us to downstairs restaurant. The spicy margarita was amazing and the food was very good for hotel food. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff was SO NICE. Everyone greated us and wished us a good day upon leaving. We would love to return one dayRooms: Absolutely gorgeous with HUGE windows overlooking the riverFood & drinks: Delicious and 2 restaurants in the hotel for easy access

The hotel is fantastic. The conversion from factory to hotel is stellar. The rooms are enormous bright and yet also welcoming. I've stayed at the hotel 4 times when we're in town to visit a close friend and every time has been excellent.

This new hotel was apparently a machine works factory and beautifully renovated ! From the decor to the advanced technology used throughout this hotel , this was truly superior to any embassey suites we have stayed at! Be sure to check out the rooftop bar! Spectacular views of the Rock River!

The Embassy is a beautiful hotel. I stay here whenever I'm in town. We always get the 2 Queen beds suites. This hotel is walking distance to several downtown businesses. The restaurant has really great food. They offer room service as well. Every night from 5:30-7 they have a reception for all guests in the restaurant where they serve free drinks and snacks. The continental breakfast is delicious. They have a buffet style breakfast which you just tell them what you want and they get it for you. They serve potatoes, bacon, sausage links, eggs, fresh fruit, cereal and you can also order a skillet, omelet or scramble and they will bring it out to your table for you . The parking is the only thing that I've had an issue with. There are a few different parking lots that you can park in and it costs 16.50 per night to park. Sometimes it's hard to even find a parking spot. But everything else is wonderful. It's a very clean and comfortable hotel. They also have a jacuzzi and swimming pool and a fitness center. I visit often and everytime I will stay at this hotel.
