This Salvation Army store is next to a rehab center for the same, the selection is wide, clean, and well stocked, you can find most anything here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is in a bad part of Rockford so go during daylight hours, huge selection of books, movies, clothes, etc.

I shop at this location because Char & Nancy are the most friendly store associates, they always have a smile and Amazing customer service! Wonderful to shop in a friendly environment! Thank you ladies :)

I just left this Salvation Army location to donate a ton of items. All I needed was assistance on where to drop off the items. Rather than the lady coming closer to the door so that I could hear where to go, she opted to stand across the store and yell at me like I was a wild animal on the other side of the door. I did not need to enter the building, I just needed directions. I repeatedly said “I cannot hear you can you come closer”. She continued to yell and point. She finally took about two steps forward and directed me to go across the street. It appeared as if the lady was afraid to come closer to a LOCKED door. As soon as I walked off she came up to the door and turned off the open sign, so why was it so difficult to move a little closer so that I could hear the directions she was trying to give me? I would hate for it to have been the color of my skin that kept her from coming closer to the door. This experience is very unfortunate, considering all I wanted to do was make a large donation. I hope Salvation Army customers and donators are better accommodated in the future.

Ted the manager walks around with a chip on his shoulder and is very rude to the customers. I had the privilege today to watch him take something from a man and put it behind the counter and tell him tjats not the price when it clearly jad 3 tags on it with the same price , in my opinion ted is a first class j***

This place is okay but it has a problem with people price swapping the tags. This time though I didn't have a problem. I however bought a wine ice bucket it had three tags on it. Someone swapped it to yellow tag 2.99 (1/2)off, it also had a brown tag saying 9.99 both the cashier and I didn't notice that. It wasn't till I got home/cleaned it up seen other tag. I've walked out few times over this issue. They need to bump up the security apparently. Outside of that was not bad. Plus bonus my neighbor works there too. Hope this helps anyone. Just remember that there's people swapping tags so beware.
