Very professional staff. Communicated clearly and I was kept informed on dates, timelines and arrival of installers. They made it look easy, even though installing granite and tile are painstaking tasks. So happy with the results! I smoke every time I look at our kitchen.

Andy and son did a excellent job installing walk in shower tile. Very professional. Kevin did a great job with the install of the vanity and plumbing. He also was very professional. New bathroom looks great.

Was not able to experience anything positive about shopping at Benson Stone. I would rate it as both the worst experience and end product results. I generally don't write negative reviews, but these people need 1) customer service training and 2) stop selling Out of Stock/Discontinued products. I ordered 3 tiles from their floor samples (flooring, fireplace and backsplash) for a new construction home and only got 1 of the 3 as ordered. Everything else they sold me was "discontinued" causing delay after delay. That would not be so bad but the salesperson, Erin Knabbe, waited 4-6 weeks to tell me - discontinued. Next, I ordered a Rustic & Distress 7 ft Birch kitchen island and only two sides came in rustic, two were perfectly smooth. No fix and no response - HELLO! Erin Knabbe, the kitchen design person was very slow to return calls, if at all. I felt like I had to keep her "on task" as she proved over and over again to be the type of sales person to - sell it and move on. Very poor follow up. Lastly I ordered a honed quartzite kitchen countertop (says Honed right on the order form), came in high gloss, and while they did pick it up from the job site, honed it and sent it back, either the seal or honing is just wrong, plain water spots stain? Not worth even calling them about it - they are so unresponsive. Even the Customer Service Manager, Greg, was completely unempowered to act in his capacity! While Benson is a beautiful place to shop and easy b/c it's a one stop shop and they think they have the market cornered in Rockford - GO ELSEWHERE - There are plenty of other local choices.

A really nice store with good selection. I bought a fireplace set that is still holding up years later. Will be back in the future when I need more home goods.

We are choosing to give zero stars for Benson Stone Company. Sadly our experience with BSC was very disappointing. Our remodeling began in August, and we were told it would wrap up around Thanksgiving. By Christmas, the contractor was still promising to finish, which did not happen. Our project finally wrapped up in January, but this was after we let the first contractor go and requested a second contractor to complete all of the unfinished items. Through all of this, the manager was requesting payment for tasks that were not complete. Now to describe why we let the first contractor go. We were very unsatisfied with the work that the contractor did in our kitchen. He installed crooked, unsightly crown molding above the cabinets in a corner that he later told us was not "square." The crown molding above the corner cabinets goes up too far by about an inch and a half. If the contractor had told us that the ceiling was not square, we could have talked about options to fix the ceiling. Instead, he waited until the cupboards, molding, and lighting were all in. We have repeatedly requested that BSC fix the corner at their cost, but they refuse. To this day, there has been no manager or member of the Benson family come to our house to inspect the problem area. We have requested over and over to have someone come to our house. The manager, Greg and the owner, Andy Benson do not see why it is necessary to come to our home. The designer, Kayla and the contractor came to our house for a "meeting," but the contractor took no responsibility for his errors. He said our house is old and will never be perfect. He also stated that he did not inform us of the issue since we would not have wanted to pay for it. I guess he could not give us the courtesy of telling us what was going on until everything was installed. He could have saved us headaches and money if he had told us. Now we have to have the corner fixed and pay out more money for a problem we did not know existed. At the "meeting," the designer said absolutely nothing. She offered no apologies or any solutions. The contractor frequently used foul language while he was working in our home. I know this, because I was home recovering from a broken leg. There were days he barely accomplished any tasks, because he was talking and joking with other BSC workers. We currently have problems in our bathroom from poor work done by the electricians. We all pay our hard-earned income for remodels. We expect honesty and accountability from the company we choose. Shamefully, we do not see this as a part of BSC's ethics.

Unscrupulous, arrogant ownership. Their only objective is to squeeze the most out of each transaction. We did a number of projects with bensons before being taken advantage of this past year without recourse. Shame on the arrogance of this business and its owner.

They were hired to install a walk in shower. I was very disappointed in the lack of communication with me and also the the plumber and installer. I contacted River on Feb. 10th and my shower is still not completed. I was told that the shower doors would be extra and that they would run about $1000.00. Now I'm told they will be $2000.00. Not very happy.

They have nice furniture, which is why it's such a shame that their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. Lord help you if something arrives damaged because you will never get it replaced, or if you do, it will take months and months of you hounding them. Our bed was delievered damaged, and I gave up trying to get it replaced after 3 months of calling them once a week for updates and getting excuse after excuse. I will never go back.

We went shopping for a granite kitchen counter and visited three different companies. We found that Benson Stone had the best Pricing, the best Selection, and the best Customer Service. Very Professional and very Attentive. Excellent Communication all through the process. Even better, the person measuring our counters and the installation team were incredible. The installers were not average guys, they were true Craftsmen that were able to overcome some of our kitchen irregularities during the installation. Unbelievable results. Beautiful Kitchen!All in all, we highly recommend Benson Stone.
