Started this review of VTech Corvette by looking for more stars. Since the max is only 5 that's where the rating wound up, but Jim Mervis deserves more. Jim installed a new motor, clutch, exhaust system and completely redid the chassis on our 1969 Vette. He talked straight to us the whole time. He diagnosed - and importantly - resolved problem after problem. The car gets inside and paint next, but the "bones" are now perfect. The prices were fair, the service was impeccable, and the friendship we now have - it's priceless to us. Many thanks to a terrific gentleman. It's a pleasure to work with you, sir.

I have a 1972 Corvette that I started restoration on and the first thing I did was call Jim. I knew after that conversation with Jim Vtech was going to be rebuilding my parts. Jim has rebuilt the rear diff. and trailing arms what a great job. The only bad thing I have to say is Jim is in Illinois and I'm in Florida. So I can't go to the shop and sit around and talk about Corvettes.Service: Steering & suspension repair

We started our 1963 corvette restoration off right by bringing our front suspension, drive shafts, rear diff, and trailing arms to Jim at Vtech. Thank you Jim for your excellent workmanship and attention to detail!! It was money well spent.

I had the opportunity to visit Jim's shop and talk with him about the complete rebuilt trailing arm setup I was purchasing as well as watch him tear my complete core down. Jim Mervis is one of the nicest, and most knowledgeable Corvette specialists you will ever meet. These two are a rare combination in today's world, and one to be treasured. Jim supplied me with a rebuilt differential for my 1970 project. The piece worked out so well, and after talking to him on the phone a few times, I knew that I wanted to bring my core back to him in person, and meet him. When I did, he was gracious enough to tear down the old core, show me exactly what was wrong, and explain everything as he did it. This man is a Saint! Since this experience in November 2020, I have sent others to him for differential work, suspension work, and high quality friendliness all at a fair price.Thank you Jim, you are greatly appreciated.Kevin
