“Evelyn is a treasure with a smile that lights up the store. Not sure why my past review is gone but it wasn't a pleasant experience. It's about her character that overfills to her work ethic and situational awareness.”
“This store is clean and fully stock with a lot of product. the staff seems very helpful. the prices are similar to others stores, they have been effected by inflation.”
“Visit on 12/03/2025 I had a wonderful experience at Dollar Tree thanks to the outstanding customer service from Danny. He is truly amazing—professional, patient, and always willing to help. Danny goes above and beyond to assist customers and makes sure everyone leaves satisfied. His positive attitude and dedication make a big difference. Dollar Tree is lucky to have such an upstanding employee!”
“I am giving 5 stars to the manager, tall cashier dude that's always present, and the older woman that typically closes because these workers bust their humps!
To the contrary I want to say to the owner, general manager, etc
I was in this evening around 6:48 pm. The cashier ( no name tag) wearing white jogging pants and a black top should be taught to not be holding a customer's money and texting... I wanted to scream from how unprofessional it was just standing there staring at her for what seemed like FOREVER to please put her phone down and finish my transaction. As soon as I walk up she's just texting completely ignoring me and my entire interaction was awkward. I look forward in seeing the manager whenever I walk in as she is incredibly helpful and pleasant and I could've right there and then called for her however she was busy putting the price tags on throughout the entire store trusting this young lady and this cashier should be written up. Next time if it happens again I will be certain to say something. If it were my job, I'd be out of a job, period. I did not appreciate spending $43.00 to give her $45.00 and wait forever to get my change that probably was about 3 minutes total just staring at her and she gave no care because obviously it's welcomed. I have seen the manager at this location train and she is stern, hard pressed while being gentle and extremely patient so I know it is not happening in her presence. We all have things going on at home, etc but that's what a break is for!!
As a professional, please do not respond with, " I'm sorry to hear this. Please email me or please understand.... ( Whatever reason is given it is not good enough)"
In my customer service career as a young cashier I had to learn the hard way by receiving a write up, having my phone confiscated by management until the end of my shift or being sent home without pay.
I do understand that this generation is pretty much... RELAXED to a certain degree but it is common sense, " the customer service is the first contact, is responsible for creating that warm and inviting impression to keep customers coming back vs to their competitors, are responsible for adhering to their employment hand book guidelines of what is acceptable and isn't and the customers wanting to come back purchasing inventory is what creates profit and raises"
Please, get it together. Give your Manager and the old lady a raise as they have been the consistent employees in that store since I moved to Wood Dale years ago. Stop hiring anyone and if you do ensure they have common knowledge of what is expected or train them properly so that these young folks understand.”
“They finally updated their location about a year ago. This used to be one of my favorite DTs before the pandemic, but they started "Falling Off" years before the pandemic. The location started to feel "Low Budget" meaning, they barely had anything and the stock was always low. I actually stopped going to this one. But they are now back on track and the stock is always healthy.”
“Was in the neighborhood after an appointment and decided to check in on the store. It was brightly lit, aisles were wide, and there was plenty of merchandise. I found what I was looking for, plastic file folders, and chocolate! And the store was full of decorations for Valentine's Day, St Patrick, and Easter.”
“This place is okay, not a lot to choose from. But I think that is because of the demographics in the area. The store has a lot of boring items. Nothing too exciting. Other locations from this company have better options.”
“Cindy went above and beyond to help me with some balloons for my son's birthday. Honestly, I haven't received such great treatment from a store/service such as hers, and it was a pleasant surprise. She should be working at like a 5 star resort or something. She would be such an asset to any customer service team.”
“If you’re tired of overpaying for candy at gas stations, this Dollar Tree location is a game changer. They offer an impressive variety of candy all for just $1.25. From name brands to fun seasonal treats, it’s a great spot to stock up without breaking the bank. Highly recommended for families with kids or anyone with a sweet tooth on a budget.”
“I stopped there the other day to get a phone mount for in the car. The first one I bought did not work right?
So when I went back in the manager was so awesome judy. She even came outside to try and help me with the second one that I bought. I have never had an employee, let alone A. Manager at a dollar general come out and try and assist me with a product that I bought.”
“Store has plenty of selection. Best grocery store with the freshest food around the area. Owner is a very nice lady. She provides fantastic ethnic groceries and a decent price.”
“I went in to make an exchange and the cashier had to call the manager over for assistance. Manager said they don't usually take return items if it's a manifacturer issue, but he did the return for me and said they'd "assume the cost of it to keep a happy customer." I appreciated that he did the return/exchange anyway and was pretty professional about it. Now days that type of service can be hard to come by, so I left feeling good about this place and their commitment to customer service ?”
“Great little place. Mexican store with tons of little things used for ceremonial pieces and all sorts of stuff you would find on 26th street. We actually were looking for a knock-off of a San Marcos blanket (those super warm Mexican blankets). And found plenty here. Reminds me of growing up and walking the small markets on 26th street. Great people inside who were super friendly.”
“I was at this store once
the store was just opening
I did buy a few things
they have super cute items to look at
this is a awesome place to get lovely cards”
“Dollar Tree is a great place to grab everyday items for just $1.25. You can find snacks, cleaning supplies, school stuff, and even some hidden gems if you look around. It’s not fancy, but it’s super affordable. Some locations are better stocked and cleaner than others, but overall, it’s a good spot to save money.”
“This place was great and easy to find, not to mention the location and the lady at the register was helpful and polite. Usually the people at this places are really disrespectful and with attitude this lady was happy . The store was stuck to the max and really organized ,I have to said kudos ?”
“A ton of stuff, overflowing in some sections. Went in to get a paper tape measure, finally finding it with a lot of help from really nice staff. The price is $1.25 for unmarked items, with some marked items going up to $5.”
“As the first to review this place I find it very convenient affordable and very hospitality place I hope it gets better and better in the community I find a graceful that I can walk near it and is very close by.”
“I placed an order online to pick up in store and David and the other employee on staff were super friendly and helpful. David was very professional and knowledgeable about the store policies and made it very easy to fix an issue I made with my order. The whole experience was easy and convenient, i will definitely order to this store above other dollar tree stores in the event I need to make another large purchase. Thank you David!!”
“One stock kid who was wearing black shorts and a hat (he had bleached hair) today was saying how America was going down and why celebrate Memorial Day…I stepped in while passing him and said Memorial Day is for the troops that fought for this country. Because of them you have a job if you don’t like it here then get out. He smart Alecy said thanks for the insight.”
“Stockers are constantly filling shelves and the checkout folks are friendly... many items didn't increase with the latest price hike and they have even more great deals at $3 and $5”
“There was this one old lady Victoria was her name gave us the dollar tree lotto ticket she was such a sweet heart and helped us save a dollar on party goods and gave us a bandage to from her pocket just overall she was the best and I hope she gets a raise!!!”
“$ Dollar Tree. I'm always excited to visit Dollar Tree Always check what is new in one dollar. Many things are like you can't imagine in one dollar. Today good variety of Christmas ornaments was there. I filled my card with Christmas Good variety of Christmas cards too. Beautiful vases, mixing bowls, dinnerware, picture frames available. Good place for the money I spent . Highly recommend and will visit soon”
“This location is okay, they do not have a lot to choose from. I think it's just based on the demographics in the neighborhood. Lot of boring stuff. Otherwise the store seems to be clean and organized. They don't have a lot of enthusiastic employees, but I think that's in a lot of customer service industries otherwise it's okay”
“The other day it was so busy and there was only one cashier named Diane. The line went all the way back to the fridge. Customers were very nasty and rude with her. She was very friendly and has great customer service given how other customers were treating her. They definitely need more assistance but there was no one else there.”
