Very similar experience as one of the other reviewers. Ordered a sectional couch from The Room Place for my basement. Delivery guys struggled to get one of the pieces through the door frame, and ended up taking chunks of wood out of the frame and put a huge hole in my drywall. I saw the damage immediately and the guys were actually pretty apologetic, but I filed a claim that day, and have called The Room Place and Altimate Delivery multiple times over 3 weeks and still no progress. "The Room Place" (actually a guy called Harry who may/may not own Altimate Delivery) has called me twice to get some dates we would be available to have a technician come out, but then never actually follows up with a person and a plan. Pretty sure they are just giving me the run-around in the hopes I will get frustrated, give up, and fix it myself. I'm not sure how you can avoid dealing with this business since it's not like the furniture stores give you a choice, but if possible STAY AWAY.

My initial interaction with the company was not pleasant yet after that, the guy was mindful and very helpful in setting up the couch.

2 of your drivers delivered bedroom furniture and after they left I noticed my wedding ring was missing. And furthermore this company’s never even reached out to me, and of course the 2 thieves denied it. Trash

Pretty sad you have thieves working for your company. Had furniture from the room place delivered and the two men stole my wedding ring. You should be ashamed, so do you even do background checks on your employees?? And the company never reached out to me, hope they can live theirselves.

Awful, awful, awful experience dealing with their delivery team leader during a scheduled sofa delivery from the Roomplace today. Here are my detailed reasons: 1. The delivery team leader was unbelievably rude, machista/misogynistic, ignorant and unprofessional. His name is Jose Barcenas-Martinez and he was unwilling to be flexible, compassionate or helpful. I was immediately put off by his aggressive tone, almost like he was angry with me that the dimensions for my entryway and front door wouldn't work for the couch. I may have made a mistake thinking the sharp turns of my entryway, front and back stairs could still somehow work with the width of the chaise lounge I bought, but he had no right to speak to me and my mom the way he did. He dismissed me right away as an ignorant woman who didn't know what she was talking about, in her own home. 2. Mr. Barcenas did not aim to establish trust, nor did he use any interpersonal skills with me. He kept saying he did not want to be liable for any scratches or marks on my wall and on the couch, and I assured him there would be no issue if that occurred. I was willing to even speak to his supervisor on his cellphone, and I told her it was okay. Still, he only allowed his team to hardly use the bare minimum to help us figure out a way to get the couch to the second floor, calling it our "attic." I can assure whoever is reading this review that our house is a two flat, with two separate apartments connected by a back porch. 3. When he left, I felt like it was my fault and I felt so, so hopeless and defeated. I felt betrayed by the Roomplace for hiring someone like him. Yes, it would have required a little extra time, effort and precision to make the couch fit those sharp turns--but as a delivery company, what are you trying to accomplish? To make customers feel like total crap? The Roomplace will be refunding us and I am in the process of sharing this information with them, and if they care at all about their customers, they will cut off ties with Altimate. 4. Mr. Barcenas inappropriately texted me after leaving my house, apologizing and saying that it would have been a "tight fit going thru upstairs." He also said that if I needed suggestions "finding a new couch that can fit," he could help me. However, he was not hired to be a salesperson. He was hired to make sure the couch fit one way or another. If it truly could not fit, his job was to assure me that I would get the best service for what happens next. He did not. He just left in a hurry after showing such an unprofessional display of character. If he ever reads this I hope he knows I accept his apology, but I will never forget how he arrived in a combative state (almost looking like he wanted to argue), talked down to me and my mom and refused to hear how we have had big couches and mattresses fit using the back doors and entryways as secondary options. 5. Also, they are the third party delivery company associated with the Roomplace and I'm baffled as to why they drove a FedEx truck?? Very suspicious. Do not hire them.

I recently purchased a new bed from the Room Place. I called the day before since I had not heard from them to confirm the address and my number to be contacted.Day of delivery, they found my address but called my work number to reach me......working from home so no one answered their call. Two men carried one piece each up to my 2nd floor apt. The person with the box struggled and damaged my hallway wall because he lost his grip and let go coming up the stairs. Made the call once I saw the damage, of course they did not say anything. 10 days later, no return phone, just the person in charge is gone for the day!!Meanwhile, I have a large hole in my wall. So Richard Lozada, wish you would return my calls!

Delivery driver was supposed to pick up my damaged furniture and install new furniture. They showed up and the ghetto drivers tried arguing with me about why I am returning the damaged furniture. They were very sloppy and got mud all over my floors and left screws in my driveway and did not even have the tools to do the work, I had to loan them my tools. They damaged the furniture they were picking up as well as the furniture they were delivering. I did not take possession on the damaged property and they had to install my old stuff. The driver pulls out a marker and was wanting to color the damaged marks on the new items so I can take possession. They were very upset and unprofessional looking and acting. Beware if this company tries and deliver to you and if they do, I suggest you take lots of pictures and don't let them bully you. I have a complaint against them at the furniture store. Hope this company educates their employees a bit better.

Maybe your delivery drivers should learn how to drive. I was getting into a turn lane by my home and as I came up next to the truck, the driver swerved into the lane I was in, probably assuming I was trying to get around him? Super professional
