Please never go here! It's one thing to save money as Ace Hardware is a franchise and is independently owned. They don't honor the prices or maybe they just have selective pricing. I never won't to bash a business, but if your practices don't align with the brand that's unfortunate.

I use to work here years ago and still to this day they have great service and selection on a local basis. You always get a smile and good advice here.

The store manager got pretty nasty with me cause his employees put a completely wrong item in the wrong spot and then continued to tell me that I'm wrong and that it was in the right spot as he's talking he is putting all the products in the correct spot

Manager Blake Siehoff, son of owner (Tom Siehoff - previous owner of the closed Ace Hardware on Rockton Avenue) is incredibly rude and standoffish for simple tasks. He is clearly nothing resembling a good worker, let alone a good manager. Store owner appeared to be inside as well and did nothing to improve the situation. Blake grudgingly completed my purchase.Taking a chance, I returned one more time to basically duplicate what I purchased before. Tom's wife/co-owner, Madeline made me wait for 20 minutes, and she was unable to assist me. No apology, and no Blake or Tom that time, so they couldn't "help" either.Blake's brother, Chad, (another of Tom's sons) apparently manages the Harvard location, so I also will not visit that location. I can't afford to give Chad the benefit of the doubt.Nepotism has created an unfortunate situation for local residents as long as the Siehoff family owns and operates the Roscoe store.I will not be back under current ownership.

The absolute worst experience with the employees in particular the manager/owner.I am dogmatic about spending my money locally in a brick and mortar store but the way this place operates is off putting to say the least.

Trying to shop local. Went to Ace Hardware in Roscoe. Found what I needed priced at $5.49 on the shelf. Got to the counter and it went up $7.99. I showed her the $5.49 price that was posted. She showed me a sign taped to the counter that said ...not all prices may be correct due to changing costs. So $7.99 it was.The very last time I set foot into that store. Thieves and they're proud of it. Watch your receipts

Not bad not great. The size of the location sort of limits their selection when compared to most other Ace locations. Due to that you'll sometimes check the ace website for an item only to get to the store and find out it's not available here.

This store (owner) is charging more for items than they are marked on the shelves. As this store is independently owned and managed, the owner stated he can charge what he wants and the customer cannot assume the posted prices are correct.Stated he is going to charge $10 dollars more than the advertised prices for the items pictured. Went back again several days later and advertised prices are still the same and owner still trying to charge more.Explained to him that going by the posted prices is EXACTLY how a store works ( something you would think he should already know).Owner did not like being challenged on his unethical and likely illegal actions. Became angry demanding I “leave his store”. It was kind of reminiscent of a 6 y/o telling you to get off his property.Incredibly rude and worst customer service ever ( sad, because the employees are very good ). I will happily drive 10 more minutes to Menards or Home Depot where prices are lower and there is oversight and accountability. Please do not patronize this guys business. After it closes down, I’m sure we will get another hardware store at the same location. That seems to be the trend.

The way a local hardware store should be run and stocked. Very convenient.
