I highly recommend Magic Alterations for any wedding alterations you need! Dora was wonderful to work with - She altered my wedding dress as well as my mom and sister's dresses which all came out fantastic. The alterations were of high quality and did not take much time at all. I will definitely be going back to Magic Alterations for any needs in the future!

Dora is INCREDIBLE to say the least! She made my wedding dress fit perfectly!! I was really nervous because my dress had a ton of detail with lace and beading, but she was so kind and delicate with it and made me feel so much better knowing it was safe with her! She was amazing to work with and is so talented. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing services.

She did my best friend’s wedding dress last year so I knew I would want to make the drive out to her. So worth it! Prices are reasonable and super easy to set up appointments. Dora is very nice but I don’t think I got what I paid for. So first of all my dress has 3 layers. The slip layer (solid beige polyester) and 2 “chiffon” layers. She charged me $600 to take my waist in and cut the length off the dress, and add some buttons and string for a bustle. My previous tailor charged $400 to do considerably more alterations on a different dress. Anyway, she said the extra charge was for rush job because there was a month and a half til my wedding so cutting 3 layers and taking a waist in is gonna be hard to squeeze in unless I paid extra.
I was supposed to have the length taken off one more time at my last fitting but it was not - I nearly tripped over the front several times. Yes I did bring my shoes to the fittings!
The beige slip layer - for some reason she added some kind of ribbon to the edges instead of just serging them and reattached the 2 layers to the slip layer so that it was IMPOSSIBLE for the train to lay properly as it originally did! My photographers tried their best but it wasn’t happening. Why on earth would you put ribbon on the end of the slip layer like that, it changes the whole shape….but I didn’t see this until I put it on the day of my wedding.
Also, the boning on the sides of the bust was not properly covered, I thought there was a pin and given how crazy the day was I decided not to fuss with it but once I took it off I had a rash and bruising on the sides of my bust because the boning was literally stabbing me all day.
So the point is, Miss Dora, if you are too busy don’t tell clients you can do it and then just rush the job. Just say no!
EDIT: since we can’t reply to owner replies - I wasn’t there in the last 2 months I was there last year! My wedding was last September. I messaged you from this account. If that’s not enough proof then what do you want me to do, post screenshots from Zelle of my payments to you? Sure everyone is satisfied when they leave, I was too, but then I actually wore the dress, for 8 hours or so, and I wasn’t satisfied anymore! You didn’t ruin my day, you ruined my skin for the entire time I was on my honeymoon. Please be so thankful the boning didn’t scar. The boning was poking me from the very beginning that I put the dress on, on my wedding day. I tried it on multiple times at Here Comes The Bride and at home before I ever brought it to you. If it was poking out then, I would’ve felt it and asked you to cover it so I wouldn’t be hurt. You should apologize not write off my experience as fake because “everyone else is satisfied!!”

I am so glad I found this place to alter my wedding dress. Price was reasonable, she did a great job and made everything look wonderful. Can’t wait to wear my dress. She also helped me with my veil. Truly recommend going to this place for any alterations!!

I went to this little shop terrified to get my wedding dress altered, because if my grandmother was still alive it would have been her I would entrust with my alterations. But once I got there and spoke with Ms. Dora Velasquez I just knew my dress would turn out well. She made feel so sure, at ease and she came through with my dress! It is beautiful and it fits perfectly!!! I love this lady and I know it won’t be the last time I go to her for alterations she’s so sweet and talented I wish I could give 10 stars!!!!

Absolutely amazing! Will definitely come here again for any alterations. My wedding dress was too big in the bust and needed a bustle. She was able to fit it to my size and the bustle looked amazing. The loose straps on each arm were also too big and she sized those to fit more comfortably :)
