I’ve been to this salon at Touhy and Mannheim 3 times and every time I receive a great cut by professionals who listen. I have had a different stylist each time and they’re all very nice.

I’ve been coming to this Great Clips location for a while and have always had good experiences with the staff — they’ve been friendly, professional, and easy to work with. That’s why I’m disappointed to be writing this review, because one negative encounter stood out enough to make me speak up.
During my recent visit, I was helped by an employee named Elsa. I was trying to explain that I just wanted a cleanup — I had a hard part on one side and the previous cut was shaped more square around the sides to avoid a rounder look. Instead of working with me or asking clarifying questions, Elsa was visibly irritated and repeatedly told me I was confused. When she suggested “blending” as the solution, I agreed, trusting her expertise. Unfortunately, the result was a rounder shape and a ruined hard part — exactly what I didn’t want.
I didn’t argue with her about the cut, because I understand this is a value haircut chain, and I wasn’t expecting perfection. But what really bothered me was how I was treated throughout the entire appointment. From the start, her tone was curt and impatient. She kept telling me to “relax” in a way that felt condescending, as if I was the problem for trying to explain what I wanted. At the end, when I looked in the mirror, she pointed out the results with an attitude that made it clear she was frustrated. I chose not to engage and just left quietly.
I normally don’t write reviews, but this interaction felt disrespectful enough to warrant one. I still recommend this location overall and will continue coming here, but I’ll be requesting a different stylist moving forward.

I've been going to the Great Clips in Rosemont since it opened. Great staff that do a really good job. The check-in app feature is a must as it creates a snap shot of your place in line.

I came late, towards closing. Just needed my hair evened out, cleaned up. So they said they take me, I got a lady named Keley. She listened. Explained it back to me, with her suggestions, and ruling out what I didn't want. Very knowledgeable, and friendly, and thorough. I finally found my hairdresser!

Rosemont location. Only man working today. I will NEVER go back. WORST haircut of my life. Soaked me at the shampoo bowl. Hair that was supposed to be cut at my shoulders he immediately took to my hairline. I told him that is way too short and he argued with me and said I said my hairline. Those two words don’t even sound the same. My hair is way shorter than I wanted and crooked to boot. Right side is longer than the left. He kept pushing my head to the side. I knew that would make it crooked. I kept putting it straight. On and on that’s how it went. At one point I took the comb from him and parted my hair down the center. He just kept combing it to the side. Clearly what I wanted was of no concern to him. Drying my hair he was burning my ears and the brush kept getting stuck. His solution, pull harder. $61 later and I am mortified.
