“Used to be a great candy shop. They are extremely extremely expensive. The last three times I was there they were out of orange creams. Wise to call before going so you did not waste a trip. They got rid of the chocolate nut egg for Easter which was one of my favorites and some of my other favorites. I am going to now start to make my own orange creams, since they can't keep them in stock”

“The name of this company is a bit of a misnomer; to my knowledge, there is no peanut butter in any of the products. I stumbled upon The Peanut Butter Pig at the One of a Kind Show a few weeks ago, and for this reason alone, I'm so glad that my friend and I went to the food section (I was going to skip it because I knew things would be tempting!).I've had bacon candy at a couple of restaurants in the suburbs, and it's good. But this is better than those places, for many reasons. First and foremost, the restaurants' version doesn't taste as good unless you have it in the restaurant and eat it immediately. The chef at Peanut Butter Pig has masterfully created a treat and designed packaging here that keeps it in peak condition for an extended period. (Not indefinitely, obviously, but I gave it as a gift a couple weeks after I bought it and it was a huge hit.) What alchemy is this?There are five flavors: Sweet, spicy, savory, boozy, and very spicy. Thus far I've been able to taste the sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. They're all so fantastic it's honestly hard to choose a favorite. I especially like the sweet and spicy ones, but I wouldn't turn a single one of them down. She also makes other treats like cookies and Rice Krispie treats with candied bacon bits, fudge... very inventive and all delicious.You can catch them at many fairs and festivals around (check their Instagram!). They also have a pickup option where you can schedule a time to pick up your order at the community kitchen in which they make the goods in Lake Zurich.”

“Stopped in for my first time. Decided to try the dark chocolate peanut butter melts and sour gummy worms. The store has a wide variety selection. Additionally I'd like to mention that their prices are super reasonable and the quality of the candy is high grade. So the gummy worms were fantastic. However the chocolate peanut butter melts were unbelievably good. I'm never buying candy at a convenience store or gas station again. Once again it's the low price and high quality that was impressive but once I tried the candy I was sold. I will be buying candy exclusively from long Grove confectionary from now on. The reason for my stop is my parents were here a few weeks prior. They purchased the chocolate covered almonds and they were delicious. I was also drawn by the price label I saw on the bag. I very highly recommend this business. They also had a lovely holiday section and there were certainly some premium and seasonal items. I was astonished by how awesome this place was. I will have to visit their long Grove location soon. I always make a point to support local businesses. Our communities count on this.
