Don't waste your money in this gym, they only care about the check they collect month after month but when you want to cancel a membership they come out charging even for the bad smell ? that you breathed inside this disgusting Gym. The carpet smells horrible the manager is terrible at his job he doesn't give any solution he just tells you that you have to pay to make changes they lose one more customer and if I could give 0 stars you would give them because this place doesn't even deserve 1 star ⭐️ because they are such liars that you ask for a 4-6 month contract and they tell you that it is for 4-6 months and in reality they put a contract in the middle not for 4-6 months but for 1 year beware ?️ here they are shameless thieves

Only reason I like coming here is Becuase it’s local & I feel comftorable working out there, however the employees sitting at the desk are HORRIBLE, One day they want to follow the rules the next day they don’t. All they do is sit there, but God forbid you asked to sign in with your phone number. They act like it’s the most hardest job in the world.

It is a bare minimum as a gym, it is extrinsically dirty and filthy place.

This location is run down. Newer edit: ESPORTA 3/10/24 nothing’s really changed except the name and the wasted space at the front of the gym with fake grass. All of the problems from before are still there except there are a few new Olympic bars that are straight. The old bent ones are gone but there is still not enough for all of the benches and equipment. There are new squat racks that are almost exclusive to squats, which is nice but it seems as if the new generation of exercisers is either texting or using 2-3 stations at once, like it’s their personal gym and no one would be thinking of using any of the three machines they have their crap hanging from unused until their done doing something else. Courtesy is a rare thing anymore and almost non existent at ESPORTA. Most people are in their own world and that world needs several pieces of equipment all at once. New edit: 12/20: nothing has changed Post Covid. The place is still run down and empty. Just this week, Dec 10, 2020, I went into the free weight area and 4 of 6 benches were without bars! Decline, both incline and 1 of the 3 flat benches were unusable because there are not enough Olympic bars. Unbelievable, but expected in this location. They just don't care. And I see the "sales" guy walking a couple around like " just ignore the broken and missing equipment, it is a great gym to join. EDIT: The management at this location just doesn't care.My original review was three years ago. Nothing has changed, ESPORTA is run at the minimum standards and that's OK with the people managing it.The free-weights are always all over the gym, like in the studios, around the machines etc. There are always machines or equipment with "scheduled for maintenance" stickers on them but they are there for many days or more. There is a feeling of disrepair to the place that seems like the workers and management just don't care. they hang signs in the locker room to say watch out for your stuff because things are being stolen. Really, considering the care that goes into this place by the staff, it is no wonder that patrons are just as inconsiderate although that is probably more to blame on the location. I've had 3 situations in the locker room where "attitude" was a little over the edge. It is obvious that Round Lake Beach is not the best part of town. Perhaps it was at some time but it has been degraded to become almost a 3rd world country and ESPORTA reflects the neighborhood. Waukegan is much nicer, both in location, care for the facility, friendly staff and people who workout there.EDIT: Waukegan is just as bad, sorry. The lack of courtesy and the lack of caring by the staff, members, management is overwhelming at both of these locations. That being said, they are still better than Planet Fitness and their stupid woke grunt alarm.

Canceled my membership, if you want a gym that makes you not want to go to the gym anymore this is the place for you. Machines were constantly either broken, or missing the rubber handles. The place stunk to high heaven even at 5 in the morning. Most of the TVs were off and there was also zero air circulation so all you do is sweat, and then smell all the other people sweating. The only saving grace was at least they had a bottle filling station for water, if you call that a saving grace. This is just my opinion, but it was a helluva lot better 3 years ago than it was a month ago.

Absolutely suck. The hot tub is closed down 2 or 3 times a month, the sauna and pool are shut down occasionally. Sauna door trim was preventing door from shutting.. Was afraid to go in there and let the door close once I put trim in place because I was afraid the trim would then prevent me from getting out. There is no emurgency button available so if you get stuck inside you're done for. I do not know if it is the manager to blame that hot tub is never properly fixed. Was in there after a so-called fix and one side of the hot tub i felt cold water coming out of the jets.

Just reading what most people say and seeing the pictures of this place makes me give this place 1 star .The picks of the employees are so sad to see. No business should post employees. The business should post a clean gym with a lot of machines . Happy families. Oh, also a juice protein bar .This is not a gym . This is a YMCA outfit !

The sale people are terrible, they lie just to get customers sign up . They hide all the fees ,they don't tell you anything upfront about what hidden fees are . Once u go and cancel it then they lie to your face that they did explain it to you .

This is not a 4 star place. The quality of this gym is diminishing. Things take a while to get fixed when broken. Treadmills are dangerous, cable attachments missing or severely degraded, carpet needs replaced, and overall cleanliness. We workout in the mornings and consistently everyday it is missing dumbells at the racks, trash all over, it stinks from the night before. They just opened up a new gym on rollins, you may want to go check it out first.
