Last few experiences at this location in the service department have been terrible. $150 for diagnostics just to tell me I need a new $200 battery. Didn’t even address the issues I know for a fact are wrong so I know a full diagnostic look of the car wasn’t done. No written estimate given either. Service “advisers” brushed off issues there were asked about stating that “since the car is no longer under warranty they don’t deal with that”. Do not recommend. I hate this is the closest GM dealership to me.

While previous visits went well and service work was professional ,last visit was sub parMade an appointment and dropped car off at 930 AM to get check engine light checked ( which I had check at Auto Zone, showing a thermostat issue) and small oil leak checkedAfter not hearing from them all day I called at 3:30I was told the manager was handling my service-The manager asked if I wanted to keep the car(?)He then proceded to give me a laundry list of service items-totaling +\- $5500None of the item identifying the thermostat or check engine lightHe did say oil pan gasket was leakingOne item was water pump was leaking-I asked if that was CE light issue ,he responded maybe ,and could do that for $1100Needless to say,I picked up the vehicle , purchased a thermostat and coolant for under $50 and installedTightened oil pan boltsNo more check engine - no more oil leakI asked if they could refund the $150, since they did NOT accurately identify the problem-but never received a responseWhile the work I’ve had done in the past was great-I felt like the business /management is now very lacking -I will not go back and would not recommend!

my car had a recall and I dropped it off in the morning as soon as they opened up (7:30am) and they had told me it would take about 3 hours to do the repair. I came back 8 hours later and the car is STILL not finished. I feel like I should have made the 45 min drive and taken it to Naperville at least they lend cars or drop you off if the vehicle takes long.

These 5 stars are directly earned by Todd! I have a hard time trusting my vehicles with anyone as I have a deep connection to them as if they were my kids not just a point a to b mode of transportation. Since I bought my truck Todd has made it so comfortable and personable for me to travel the extra distance to bring Big Red (my truck) in for and service or issues she has. I live very close to Ottawa and could go to The competitor but the trust that Todd has earned my loyalty to Gjovik! When I call he remembers my number by memory and greets me by name which is awesome plus tells you that I service Big Red often. Thanks Todd for everything you do!

We signed many documents, which they tell you, you will get copies of later. Be careful we did not. i.e., their Dealer statement that you have XX days to return the car. MAKE SCREEN SHOTS FOR YOUR OWN RECORDS BEFORE YOU LET THEM WALK AWAY WITH ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! They won't give them to us regardless of how many times we have asked. Our calls are NOT being returned. If you are looking at a vehicle online, MAKE A COPY/PRINT OUT OF IT BEFORE YOU GO! The posted miles in our case seemed to have changed from when we left house vs when we agreed to buy the car (i.e. 44K vs 48K). Their contention is that they changed it the night before and that it takes some time to update however the slight price reduction already did show up. We purchased the car on Sat-9/17 and told them that we wanted to return the car on Mon-9/19. Their response is that the deal was complete on Sat. They stated that we could come in with the car and they could work out a trade in price but there was no option to return the car. Likewise, although we have excellent credit, we were given a 'higher' finance rate 7.59% through GMC Finance. You can likely do better almost anywhere else i.e., 4.34%. We are trying to switch out the finance company, but GMC stated as of 9/20 they do not have the transaction on their books. We waited almost all day to get to speak to the only Finance rep they had on site. That should have been our 1st clue to hit the road. If you are in a similar situation RUN DO NOT WALK!

I have an older GM vehicle (Pontiac Vibe) and recently brought it in to Gjovik Chevrolet in Sandwich because my low tire light came on (after I had recently gotten all 4 tires replaced at Just Tires). I told them the light kept coming on after I would reset it on my dashboard after about 5 miles. They told me they had fixed it and charged me $150 for that - I drove out of the dealership and after 5 miles, the light came on again! I also had an oil leak so made an appointment and brought my car in again. They kept it overnight and assured me they had fixed the "low tire pressure light" problem and charged me another $150 for that., but of course it came on again after paying my bill and driving 5 miles (were they just resetting it in the dashboard like I already did 10 times, and charging me $300 for that???). ! They were never able to fix the oil leak (but of course charged me nearly $400 for trying!). So after paying over $700, they didn't fix either problem! I then took my car to Midas in Yorkville and the guys there were able to actually reset the low tire pressure light inside the electrical system and fix the oil light by ordering the correct part - and they only charged me $10 to fix the LTP light and $400 to actually fix the oil leak! The Midas guys said there were missing bolts from a number of covers inside the engine too. I called the Gjovic Service Manager and requested a refund and he's never gotten back to me. I feel it was a total ripoff and will never take my car back to Gjovic again. They lost a loyal GM customer for life.

Dishonest and they Lie about their vehicle pricing. I was referred to them through a car buying program and once they realized I was not from Sandwich, IL they said they would only sell a vehicle 2K over MSRP even though I already had a price given to me in writing. Stay away and I repeat never do business with a dishonest business because if they are dishonest in purchasing, dishonest in service and dishonest top to bottom.
