“Love this store. I found an excellent cardigan to wear for work. It was brand new with tags on for maybe $10. They have so many shoes and purses. Also a wide variety of sizes as well as some children's clothes. Definitely recommend! I can always find something good here.”

“Words cannot describe how much I love the IDEA store. The secondhand yarn, fabric, tools, stationary, and school and art supplies are all very reasonably priced. I've gotten some very high-quality items here for 10%-50% of the retail price.

A place to find unique items including antiques, party supplies, photos, books, cards, and jewelry- I've seen everything from a box of piano keys to antique butter molds, retro toys, and giant 20-sided dice on the shelves.”

“The store is clean, well-organized, and has reasonable prices. (Some things are higher priced, but they are items of a higher quality, or things like electronics.) It is a bit on the small side, but check here for used housewares, books, and clothes!”

“This is definitely the best thrift shop in the Champaign-Urbana (Chambana) area! Here you can get your clothing, office/school supplies, home decor, sheets/towels/linens, kitchenware, and more. It was refreshing to walk through the store (old house) and find that everything was reasonably and affordably priced. I love to find unique things in addition to getting great deals; that's the fun of thrifting! This thrift shop satisfies both of those in spades. Other establishments left me dissatisfied by the lack of character in the items for sale and the high prices, but this store gave me what I was looking for. I do wish it was open a bit later because I'm not a morning person, but I understand that it is volunteer-run. I got some kitchen stuff for just a few quarters and a 100% linen button-up shirt for $5 (linen is expensive, so that's a fair price)!”

“I was absolutely stunned by the quality of items, prices, and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I got a beautiful end table for $30 from a brand name "Heritage" (pictured with white hydrangea flowers barely any marks on it basically like new!) and 2 matching night stands also from a brand name "Broyhill" with barely a mark on them for $20 dollars each! Night stands are pictured with the lamp or mirror on them. Drawers on all three are huge, CLEAN, and slide like new. For 70 bucks I am stunned by the condition of the items. Very nice, heavy, and quality pieces that are in like new condition. Also the staff..... OMG they go above and beyond. So friendly and helpful. They were loading up the pieces in my car for me I didn't even ask for help! Those girls were hustling the whole time I was there unloading items. I could have done it myself and they were busy but helped me anyway. Seems like you don't get service like that in fancy places anymore much less a thrift store. I will definitely be back. The staff, and the quality and condition of their items is great. This place cannot be beat. Since it is a thrift store you just have to come frequently when your in the market for something (I just moved here 2 days ago and have nothing) because they never know what they will get in. I don't know who is running the place and hiring but they are doing a wonderful job!”

“I really loved visiting this unique little thrift shop! The clothes were all in good condition and there was a wide selection from casual shirts to formal dresses. Lots of nice shoes too. Along with clothes there was a curious selection of miscellaneous new-in-box goods like home decor, dinnerware, makeup & skincare products, etc. all sold at great prices. The woman at the register was incredibly kind and friendly. I would definitely visit again!”

“This location used to be a County Market years ago. Now it’s a partial grocery store and partial resale store. A lot of people like this store but I’m confused why some of the groceries are so expensive here when it’s supposed to be like a safe haven for people experiencing poverty.

Yes prices are rising everywhere nowadays but check out the prices on the photos I posted here. Over $9 for some peppers? ?

Not the store’s fault but people steal carts from this store often (see photo)

But thank you to Salt and Light for being a place with food in this region of Urbana that is considered a “food desert””

“Amazing store, staff, and volunteers! On Saturday, we accidentally lost something important while buying some photo frames. After checking the parking lot and finding nothing, we emailed the store during non-business hours on Monday, and to our surprise, they replied! We know it was our mistake to lose something, and the staff didn't have to go out of their way for us, but they were incredibly kind and helpful!

Josh is super kind-hearted and considerate. We finally found the missing item after searching for almost three days around the city.

Thank you, Restore! We’ll keep recommending the store to our friends and donate even more in the future!”

“Great store, great employees. Nikki noticed that I left my wallet behind on the counter and ran it out to my car in the subzero weather. She goes the extra mile to service customers!”
