“My brother is in town for university, and unfortunately, being 8 hours away from home, his battery on his 2017 Lexus RX350 gave out on him. From a distance, I did some research and initially found a Toyota dealership nearby, but due to past experiences, I’d rather avoid dealerships for repairs or services. I kept looking and quickly found Specialized Automotive online. After reading through their reviews and learning about their story, I knew right away this was the perfect place for my brother to take his car.
I’m a big believer in supporting smaller, family-owned businesses, especially ones that have been around for a while and built a solid reputation. I sent my brother their info and told him to book an appointment for a battery replacement. He took it in this morning, and they had him in and out with a new battery in just 30 minutes! He called me right after to tell me how great his experience was—friendly service, quick turnaround, and no hassle.
It’s rare to find an auto shop that’s both efficient and genuinely cares about its customers, and from this experience, I can confidently say that Specialized Automotive is one of those places. We've definitely found a reliable shop for my brother to return to if he ever needs anything else.”

They were the only business who didn’t try to upsell me on things I didn’t need, who didn’t rush through my questions, and gave me the lowest estimate by about $300. When I went to pick up my car, they told me I didn’t even need an alignment and saved me some money. Very honest, kind, and patient professionals.”

“I'm very grateful that I was recommended to this place. They are amazing and they know what they are doing! I bought 33 inch tires for my Jeep Wrangler from Firestone in Urbana. They failed to balance and put the appropriate weights on my Jeep/tires. Thus, causing my jeep to wobble! They and many other places in Urbana-Champaign couldn't fix the issue or just didn't want to deal with it.However, Best Drive went above and beyond my expectations! I highly recommend this place. “Professional, quick, and courteous. Never like having a flat tire on the road, but if I do, I'd always like to have somebody like Tyler come and fix it! Came from Champaign to Gibson City to replace my tire. Was down just over an hour and a half total from the time I noticed it and reported it until it was fixed and I was rolling again. He even torqued the lugs! Can't ask for more than that. Excellent job,Tyler, and Gem City tire.”

“I was recently told by another repair shop that I needed my brakes replaced. I took my car to Kirby’s for another opinion. They determined my brakes are fine and also performed a 30 point inspection. No work needed at this point, and there was no change for the visit. This is my 2nd time dealing with Kirby Firestone in Urbana and I definitely plan to continue to use them for servicing my car.”

“I took my F150 to PDR automotive because I had a problem that i thought was the water pump. They promptly schedule me for an evaluation and then the repair work. The water pump problem and the work that needed to be done was explained very clearly and also the cost estimate. The work was completed at the time they had indicated to me. The mechanic noted that I was due an oil change so I requested they add it while the had the truck at their place. They said no problem to do the oil change which saved me a trip on another day. I am very pleased with the quality of the service that i received”

“Came here in search of tires after I had a blowout on one of mine, and after Walmart gave me the runaround on trying to get the tires I was after. Tire Barn's folks figured out quickly which tires would work for my car, and got me in the next morning to get the changeout taken care of.
It took them more time than they'd planned (I'm told it took them more than two hours to get this blown-out tire off the rim!), but by golly, they kept at it, and they got it done. They took good care of everything in the process, and they didn't try to upcharge me on a whole bunch of services I didn't need. It was a little bit more expensive than, say, Walmart, but for peace of mind, and knowing that they'll take good care of you, I'd say the extra money was well worth it. Glad to have another mechanic I can trust in town!”
