I had signed up my son for two swim lessons and my husband for one swim lesson. All three of the lessons were cancelled and for neither of the three they notified me that they had been cancelled. When I arrived for the lessons, I find out they had been cancelled. Also it was on me to ask them for refund. They had me fill out a refund form for each sessions when they should automatically be refunding the costs.
I also signed up my son for the youth soccer game as I wanted him to learn to play the sport. Since he's still new at the game, he wasn't the best at it and the coaches just sat him outside for whenever they had extra players or asked him to be a goalie when they should be rotating him and give him a chance to play and get better. I didn't pay the money so he sits out for the games and watch others play. He should have been given equal chance no matter how good or bad he is. The whole point of these lessons are so the kids can learn.
Definitely won't be going here again. Waste of money. Poor management.

I went to see the pool and find out pool hours. They change hours often because they may not have a lifeguard. Unfortunate since I have to plan my workouts. Pool and hallways looked clean. When someone came to the desk.she was helpful and showed me the pool. I will have to go back with paperwork and documents for joining.

Desk worker lied to me about their monthly fees. She said in her 19 years working there they never had a yearly payment family plan option. When my family had financial hardship a couple years ago we were quoted $185 for a year plan. Anyway, the price is much higher now, it rose more than inflation in poperty tax and labor. The pool was closed without notice to when it'd open again, and the experience was a bummer.

NICE PLACE WITH AN ABUNDANCE OF WORKOUT EQUIPMENT THAT IS POORLY MAINTAINED. MORE ELLIPTICALS ARE CURRENTLY OUT OF ORDER THAN ARE WORKING. THE ONE ROWING MACINED HAS BEEN OUT OF ORDER FOR CLOSE TO TWO MONTHS. BEEN COMING HERE FOR A YEAR. COMPLAINED AT THE BEGINNING ABOUT ONE OF THE LEG MACHINES HAVING AN ADJUSTING OPTION MISSING. WAS TOLD THEY ARE AWARE OF IT BUT THE MAINTAINENCE FIRM ONLY COME INFREQUENTLY AS PER THEIR CONTRACT. STILL HASN'T BEEN FIXED. THE FRONT DESK STAFF IS GREAT.

Well, it sucks that the pool is closed. I know this is a ymca, yet I would have thought that being in Schaumburg, they would have a hot tub. The chick that was at the front desk was NOT pleasant!!! I think Stephanie needs a new job. I'm pretty sure when I called today, 3 weeks after I was there, to ask if the pool is still closed, Stephanie answered the phone. While I was there, she only said goodbye to 1 of the 3 people I saw leave. She didn't say hi to me when I walked in. She was sitting far back from the desk on her phone. She was looking less than thrilled to be there on black Fri morning. I asked where to check in, and she pointed. I was looking for a sign to see about oft guests. I asked her if it made a difference being oft, and she said yes. Then she got up. I should have asked about a hot tub then, but I thought Schaumburg being booshie, they would have one. My little town of 15,000 people has a hot tub, sauna, and steam room in a spa area. So asking about where the steam room was seemed quite difficult. I didn't understand why there were 4 locker rooms. And why children could be unattended. The doors are propped open so anyone can walk in. I certainly didn't feel welcomed, and the energy was bad. Not a Christian place. I'll be going to the park district next time. And Stephanie needs a talking to.

The fitness area is wonderful. Good assortment of equipment to use, free weights, basketball courts, and treadmills. There is also a track and a swimming pool, and saunas. Also, and equally important, the best front desk team you could ask for. I am always happy to see them.I cannot speak for the daycare portion, as I just come for the fitness area (and the wonderful front desk).

The reason why I love that place is they Treat your customers with some respect unlike the Elgin YMCA and that’s why I love the Schaumburg ymca.
