Disappointed by the service level on Sunday Nov 23. Empty store. 11:15 am. I ran to Whole Foods my husband to C&B next store to purchase two French press (divide and conquer)!. Should have been a quick visit. He wanted to ask for a recommendation. Two staffers were chatting to each other. He was close and visible to them and even made eye contact. After being ignored, he went to a counter and asked for help. The counter person said someone should over. After waiting around making eye contact and being ignored, he left with nothing. I’m disappointed because crate and barrel is not a low end store and more so because now, frankly, this errand will fall to me. What was so important that, as a retail store clerk, that you’re too busy with internal conversation in an otherwise empty store - that you ignore customers? This is why retail is suffering and dying and why is everyone buying online. Because of retail staff like this. The store in schaumburg is always prestine. Easy in and out. Too bad.

I purchased a dining table from Crate & Barrel’s Oakbrook Center, IL location at the end of July. Unfortunately, we accidentally spilled diffuser oil on the table, so I reached out for help. From there, the experience has been incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
It took me over 10 days and multiple follow-ups just to get a response. When Crate & Barrel finally arranged a third-party repair, the technician arrived over two hours late without calling, spent less than five minutes on the table, and used white markers to paint over the stain — which actually made the table look worse. He provided no documentation or explanation of what was done, then left saying Crate & Barrel would follow up.
Since then, I’ve received no updates, no report, and no accountability. I’ve had to call and email multiple times, and after all that, customer service told me there was “nothing more they could do.”
I’ve been a loyal customer who trusted this brand for quality and care, but this experience has completely changed my opinion. I wasn’t asking for a free replacement — only for responsibility and a fair resolution after the technician Crate & Barrel arranged made my table worse.
I truly hope Crate & Barrel’s management sees this and improves how they handle customers who experience service issues.

Had ordered a recliner chair. When we called to see when the chair is going to be delivered they said the chair is discontinued. After that received an email that the order is canceled. After that received a call that order was canceled as it is discontinued but can deliver similar chair is different base color at a much higher price. We asked them to price match and mentioned cannot do it. Very bad customer service.

I am so grateful for the service we received. I ran into the store with my three young children, and when we can get the side eye from many retailers for bringing in children, I received the most gracious, warm welcome and service from Mary. My children were well-behaved, but it was her kind comments that capped off a successful outing. Thank you, Mary!

Worst Custer service I have ever experienced at this location! I had received majority of the Marin Grey set off my wedding registry. I wanted to get the remaining pieces but they had recently been discontinued. I called the store to see if they had them by chance and if not if I could exchange them. She told me it was past the 90 day mark and they couldn’t except them. No one had told me about the 90 days when creating the registry. Emily then said I could come in and we would just need a manager override. So I go there two hours later. Carried in 6 boxes myself to the back of the store (I’m pregnant might I add) to then have Rachel tell me they couldn’t take them. She then told me Emily said our conversation on the phone was hostile, told me not to come in but I said I was anyway…. Never in a million years would I waste my time if that what was told to me. THEN Rachel told me they couldn’t take the dishes back because “it would do them no good because they’ve been discontinued and can’t resell them” SAVE YOURSELVES AND GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION !!!

We recently shopped at Crate and Barrel and received an amazing experience from Pam as my wife and I were looking for chairs to add to our basement. She was very attentive and helpful with our color selection and clear about the timeline for them to be available for delivery. We were so excited, we decided to pick them up ourselves! Be sure to ask for Pam! You will not be disappointed!

Absolute worst customer service. First, they forgot to include my couch when delivering my other pieces of furniture. Then, for the next two weeks they failed to follow up with me to reschedule. I had to constantly call them and when I finally reached someone, I was told their system showed my couch had already been delivered when it clearly had not been. Finally, they give me a new delivery date for between Noon and 2pm. The delivery guys did not show up until 8pm. Nobody took accountability and nobody even apologized. Will never order from them again!

Sales person just walked off and helped someone else…guess I will buy my living room, patio and kitchen furniture elsewhere. Hope she wasn’t working on commission!

Marcy and Jen were amazing. One the first visit, Marcy helped us to finalize our purchase plan (sectional) and get us a quote. She gave us valuable information on saving money on our purchase and was so friendly and helpful. Upon our return to finalize the purchase, she was not there but Jen and another associate were helpful and efficient; they gave the credit to Marcy (no stealing sales here :)) and were careful in making sure we got exactly what we needed. Wonderful staff, wonderful experience! Highly recommend!
