The hotel and room were adequate, though the kids (6 years old and younger) had a blast, which was most important (especially in the pool, though there was enough chlorine in there to tranquilize a bull elephant). There was a dead bug in the shower, which in itself is not the end of the world, but it means the shower had not been cleaned in a minute. One of the elevators was out, so you either had to wait forever or walk around to the other side where both elevators were working. The continental breakfast tasted like I lost a bet (the made-to-order omelets looked good but I did not want to wait in line). Lastly, the kitchen was closed (Saturday night), and it seemed like this was standard, so we had to pick up dinner from a nearby restaurant. I have never stayed at a hotel where you could not get lunch/dinner and it was a minor hassle with 3 hungry children. In sum, you get what you pay for. If you are in town for business/visiting someone, or with kids who do not know any better, this is right up your alley. Adequate.Walkability: You cannot walk anywhere. Driving required.

This hotel has been my general go to for many years when in the Chicago area for work. There have been a significant amount of improvements made over the last few years and it has dramatically improved the experience. Then entire common area, bar, breakfast space, etc has been rehabbed recently and it is huge upgrade. The highlight of this particular Embassy (I stay at a lot of them) is the breakfast and breakfast staff. While embassy in general has a good breakfast, this one a more personal touch with polite service, quick cleaning, and a few added extras like excellent salsa for the omelets and few other extras at the omelet bar.I will also add that during my last two stays, they have resumed daily cleaning of the rooms. Very few hotels have resumed this since COVID so I’m happy to have that return here.I was particularly impressed during a recent stay when the new General manager was walking around clearing tables and engaging with the guests. He also engaged with me as I checked out in the morning. It’s nice to see a GM on the floor willing to help his staff out to make the guest experience better. On the down side, this is an older building and some of the rooms show it. Loud HVAC, tubs instead of walk in showers and older carpet, paint, and decor. It seems like they are gradually working through those renovations so it’s hit or miss whether you get a new or older room. One other thing is the SLOW elevators so hopefully those are on the upgrade list for the near future.

The hotel receives a 2 star review NOT for poor staff as they were extremely attentive and nice. NOT because of the location or atmosphere as that was just fine. They receive a 2 star because of the false advertisement and the management staff. I booked 3 rooms through the hilton honors program. One double bedroom and 2 kings size bed rooms. One of the kings were accessible as I am visual impaired and i need the accommodations. But as we entered ROOM 326, it was clear that the bed was NOT a king but rather a full. We went to the front desk and even they mentioned multiple guest with similar complaints about the false advertisement. They assured us we could talk to management in which management offered points for our dissatisfaction. Long story short I never received the points and I placed a guest service case so that the room could be investigated and the advertisement could be changed. When the result from the case came in - there was no mention of points and they said that I was expecting a master king and that the room.bed size was a standard king. Management lied and never honored their side. It was not until.i called guest assistance services that anything was resolved. If you do go here and are expectinh a king bed (which I did receive from my other booking) dont get room 326 or trust management at all.

The website and photos need to be updated because there NOT a jacuzzi or Spa at this location. The spot where the jacuzzi use to be is cemented over. We just stayed there on Thanksgiving 2023.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a cocktail hour every night. At check-in, we received vouchers for 2 free drinks for each person in the room. And there are snacks! Eat the chips. So good! The rooms are very spacious and nice. The couches are a little worn and dated, but everything is clean. The bathroom is a little tight on space. there is no way 2 people are getting ready at the same time. The hotel is easy to get to, located near many things and there is ample parking. We were here for an event at Topgolf, and it was the perfect hotel.

To be honest, this property was a huge disappointment, especially for the amount of money they charge for the rooms. The hotel is run down, and it's very visible. The elevator buttons are dirty and disgusting. The elevators are both all scratched up and make odd noises to the point that I was actually nervous to use either one of them. The chairs in the lobby are all worn. Despite its size, the hotel has only two luggage carts and none of the staff make any effort to make sure that they're in the lobby ready for others to be able to use (we found one outside in the back parking lot). The bathroom in our "suite" was so tiny that one could barely shut the door while in the bathroom. The tub was about 6 inches high, so it too, was very tiny. The mini-fridge was a micro-fridge with no adjustable settings - everything we put in the fridge froze, including my medication. The alcoholic drinks for sale by the front desk are locked up (which I have absolutely no problem with), however, the front desk attendant doesn't have a key!! He told me that someone had the key but she was nowhere to be found, literally. I was told she was "walking the grounds," but after waiting for 15 minutes, I just gave up. The attendant had no way to contact her - they don't use walkies and apparently no cell phones either. I decided to see what other guests had to say about this hotel: many others have had similar complaints. This place is a dump. I will NEVER recommend Embassy Suites to anyone I know.

Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff! Room was pretty clean but found a dirty q-tip behind toilet and was left with only 1 roll of tp for 5 days.Drawback was that every door SLAMMED shut when leaving so I had to listen to everyone come and go a lot! Requested a lower level room, when I called the night before, and was given a room on the top floor at check in right at 4. ☹️The nightly reception from 5:30pm-7 was great and the morning breakfast buffet was terrific! I’d stay here again for sure!

First of all, Nicole and the staff I dealt with were AMAZING! Unfortunately the rooms and pool DO NOT live up to all the other Embassy Suites I have stayed at. The plumbing is TERRIBLE! Instead of renovating, they put a thick coat of lipstick on the old, dated infrastructure. The toilet ran all night, the shower head squealed and was sticking out of the wall. See pics. I can't post vids. The pool ladder for my kids was broken and had a sign made out of computer paper saying "broken, currently being repaired". We stayed for three nights and it wasn't repaired in that time frame which tells me how much they care about safety for kids. Never staying here again.

Pros - The employees were very nice and professional. They gave me a room on the 6th floor. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and coffee was decent. You can also have omelets made to your liking. Small fridge and microwave in the room.Cons - The hotel is definitely under renovation. Modernized, but when I checked in lots of banging and drilling was happening. It did stop at 5 or 6. Not sure what type of glass was installed in the hallways, but it was giving me vertigo from looking down and through them.Shaky 5th ⭐️ - my first morning, didn't have hot water in the shower. I told the front desk, they let me use a room next to mine only because I asked. His remedy was to wait on maintenance. Told me they would have maintenance check it out while I'm out. Didn't happen. My second morning - same deal. The "trick" was to shut it off and on to get a good 10-15 seconds of hot water running. Freeze a little bit, rinse, repeat. During checkout, I mentioned all of the above to the young lady and she said she'll take care of it.Honest recommendation - it's located in a decent area and not far from corporate businesses. Lots of selections of different restaurants and Legoland is 10 minutes away. I would recommend. Just make sure you have hot water before settling in.

Stayed here for hubby's birthday. I love Hilton and Embassy suites is my favorite. The service at check in and out was great. The breakfast on morning of check out was good but food is lukewarm not hot even though it is in warmers.

3.8 out of 5. If you are in a wheelchair, make sure you get a handicap accessible room if you are staying in this hotel. We don’t usually get an accessible room unless I need the shower but the regular rooms here are so snug that the wheelchair will not fit into the bedroom area. They were very nice and changed to a handicap room with no problem. The breakfast is great. I love hotels with made to order breakfast. There are a variety of options so the whole family was fed and it was all good.. Unfortunately, the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. And we were awakened at 7 AM by people cleaning outside of our door and playing their music. Definitely not the best wake up call. Overall, I would still stay at this hotel in Schaumburg just based on the breakfast alone and only if it was for one night.
