Stores “systems have been down” for three weeks so they can’t take returns…you only have 30 days to return things! So I’m supposed to drive 30 min to another store? Completely ridiculous.

Express was my go-to for YEARS! 90% of my clothes were from there, but now their sizes are erratic, quality has diminished and styles aren't my favorite. I haven't found anything to buy in years. Very disappointing.

Express offers great styles, and if you wait for sales, the prices are reasonable too. But lately, things seem to have gone downhill with the brand. I had multiple in-store experiences, including one in Schaumburg, where the store seemed seriously understaffed and they had teenagers (the manager's kids maybe?) helping. They didn't seem to be trained and had no clue what they were doing, so I doubt they were paid staff. I also ordered items online that I planned to pick up in the Lincolnwood Town Center store, which were never prepared for me. I got an email confirmation that the items are ready for pickup, yet when I went to the store, the staff claimed that they never got my order. The store was in an incredible disarray, so my guess is that they were just too overwhelmed to deal with online orders. I am also having issues receiving a refund for items I returned to the Schaumburg location weeks ago. The in-store staff member handling the return seemed very confused about the process, so he probably messed up something. Now I keep contacting customer service to get that refund and they keep telling me to wait because refunds take time. Today, three weeks in, they finally confirmed that the refund was never initiated and they will initiate it now, but I still have to wait another week and a half before I get my money back... if I get my money back. I may still need to call a few times before they finally process it. Such a mess!

The staff was very warm, welcoming and helpful. I needed a suit for a new job by the next week, and came into the store late, an hour before close.Ruby was very kind and accommodating to help me with point of purchase all the way through the transaction. And Angel helped me greatly with picking out the right suit as well as helping me purchase the correlating pants online.They were greatly helpful. They treated me like I was a friend. They were very kind and professional, even though I came late, yet they didn’t rush me, and they helped me out so well. I would highly recommend going to this store.

Had to return something and they had only 1 register opened (out of 4). 20 people in line and they wouldn’t get other cashiers to speed up the process. Took a good 45 minutes … :(Not cool.
