Very nice experience. Joobin the sales guy was excellent and helped me find the perfect pair of glasses. You can tell he knows what he is talking about he is like a glasses whisperer. Overall a very good experience.

I recently had an extremely disappointing encounter with this location, and I feel compelled to share my experience. I visited the office for what I anticipated would be a routine eye examination, but unfortunately, the receptionist's behavior left a lasting negative impression.I had three appointments, one for myself and one for each of my children. After the appointments, the receptionist notified us that our total would be over $100, which is unusual because we’ve been going there for 5 years and our insurance has always covered the entire balance. The receptionist told me that they’ve implemented a new service since the last time that I was in and my insurance does not cover it. Mind you, I did not ASK for this service. If it is included in the routine eye exam, that is fine but I told her that patients should be notified of that prior to receiving the service so that they may schedule at a time where they have an extra $100. I was met with a judgmental attitude when I mentioned that I couldn't afford an additional service that was not explicitly requested. The receptionist's tone and demeanor conveyed a lack of empathy and understanding, making me feel embarrassed for not having enough financial resources at that moment. At one point, she even accused me of stealing when I told her it was physically impossible for me to pay for this service as I don’t even HAVE that much money.I understand that upselling is a common practice in various industries, including healthcare, but the way in which this particular receptionist approached the situation was entirely unprofessional. Rather than respecting my decision and focusing on the reason for my visit, I was made to feel inadequate for not being able to afford an optional service.Customer service is a crucial aspect of any business, and unfortunately, the receptionist at For Eyes on Higgins failed to deliver on this front. The overall experience has left me with a negative perception of the practice, and I refuse to recommend it to others based on the treatment I received.I believe it is essential for businesses to prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure that their staff is trained to handle situations with tact and sensitivity. Regrettably, my encounter at For Eyes fell far short of these expectations.

I accidentally damaged my glasses, and I visited this location to see if they can help me fix my glasses. They take me right away, without waiting, without scheduled appointment and fixed everything in record time, on top of that they are so kind and professional, I would definitely recommend this location to anyone.Thank you guys!

If I could give this location lower than 1 star I would. I went in on Aug 3, 2023 to get an eye exam for my son (6) and I. Dr. Joanna is great and was excellent. I ordered a pair of glasses for myself and my son after finding out he needed glasses from Tony Puller. Both were ordered (I thought) that day. The following week I picked up my glasses and was told my son’s would be there soon. 2 weeks go by and I call and never get a phone call back. Finally, I went into the store on Aug 26 and met with Tony (after waiting almost an hour because he “ran to the bank” when I got there). He pulled my son’s glasses order out of the top drawer of his desk and said “Ma’am, I own this, I apologize, I didn’t order them.” These glasses frame’s color was not in the store and we were told they could order them no problem. So he ordered the frames while I was there and I was told they would be there soon. Keep in mind my son started school and needed these glasses for reading. On Sept 5, I called Tony and was told that they had the lenses and not the frames. What?! Obviously I am very upset and was told he would call me back (shocker he didn’t). I then called the next day (Sept. 6) and Tony had “run to the bank” again. When he finally called me back he was rude and didn’t own his part in this whole fiasco. It’s insane to me that ordering a pair of kids sunglasses from a GLASSES COMPANY was this difficult. I canceled my order and will never go back or recommend anyone use the For Eyes (Especially Higgins) location in the future. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.

The manager at the Schaumburg location forgot to order my grandson's glasses. They had been ordered in enough time for him to get them for the start of school. When they didn't come in, my daughter went into inquire why the glasses were so late. The manager then admitted that he had forgotten to order them. He assured her that he would get them as soon as possible. Well , after waiting another week, she tried calling the corporate customer service line. No one ever picked up. I'd then tried calling the customer service line as I no longer work, and after being on hold for 15 or 20 minutes, was told that I couldn't leave a message and was cut off. My daughter ended up getting into a argument with the manager from the store and canceled the order for my grandson's glasses. Do not use For Eyes!

I had a horrible experience at this For Eyes, so bad that after 20+ years being a customer, I am changing my glasses provider. I went in to order (3) pairs of kids glasses, they added in all these extras without reviewing it with me and didn't run my insurance. They only ordered (2) of the (3) glasses and never gave me a reason why they didn't order the 3rd pair. Tony, the store manager has very poor customer service, I had to follow up multiple times to get a resolution. One time I called, and they put my on hold until the store closed. When I went to a competitor, they gave me the same set of kids glasses for 1/3 of the cost. They took advantage of the situation, overcharged me and then wouldn't help me resolve it, would not recommend this location.

Wonderful place with a large selection of eye wear to choose from. All the employees were extra helpful and kind when I visited. Would highly recommend based on their optical staff.

I had the privilege of meeting Julie at For Eyes.I was visiting family when my glasses broke (and I need my glasses). Julie guided myself and my husband to the store. Not only was she kind, nice, professional and informative. I walked out the store with new lenses and great chat with Julie. I cannot give Julie enough stars on my experience of visiting the store. Go there you will not be disappointed and ask for Julie !

Dr. Kawecka is the kindest-been her patient for many years now. Very helpful staff, repaired my glasses without question when I was just asking for a copy of my prescription. Shout out to the jolly gemini Julie! ???

After many years of going to For Eyes at 700 E. Higgins Rd. in Schaumburg, I have decided to make a change. I was Dr. Petersohn's patient for about twenty years, having had no problem with her at all, ever. She was a great doctor. However, the person who signed me in and was performing the pre-examination was surly, angry, aggressive and rude. Finally, after a few minutes of being the object of her snarkfest, I decided not to subject myself to her behavior any longer and walked out without completing the pre-examination. She had been rude to my wife a few days earlier when they spoke on the phone and was rude to both of us in person during my appointment. I don't know how this business can continue, considering how badly they treat their customers. For my part, I will never be back and will discourage anyone I know from going to For Eyes.
