“I had been without my car for 6 weeks due to my axle breaking down. I had someone from another shop install the axle and my car was still not drivable. I decided to come to Norwood Auto Service because it was down the block from me and I wouldn’t have to drive my car far. They did a full inspection on my car and sent me a text with EVERYTHING that was wrong with it along with pictures to back it up. I was so impressed by the pictures and detailed commentary. They’re not pushy at all with services which is a huge plus for me since I’m a woman who doesn’t know much about cars. They also told me that the shop that I went to put in the wrong axle for my car which is why my car was still not drivable. They were able to order the correct axle and fix my car completely SAME DAY. Mind you, Eric called me throughout the day to give me updates. The service was just all around stress free for me and I’m very grateful for Eric, who I believe is the manager. They won a customer for life going forward and will forever recommend them. “This was my first time here and I will definitely be a repeating customer. The service is amazing! They are super friendly, fast, and honest. I appreciate that because not all mechanics are. They do not try to upsell here like some other places in Villa Park. Their prices are reasonable and their work is top quality. I have nothing but wonderful things to say after getting my oil change here. It was one of the fastest oil changes I have gotten, too. Also, I did not have to make an appointment and they were able to take me right away on a week night after work. “Top and the best shop for Hybrid.I’m writing based on my own experience that I had with my 2013 Lexus RX450h which was broken for more then 6 months and no any mechanics could fix it and I was towing it from a shop to another. The previous shop before this guys been working and spent many hours for 2 weeks but couldn’t fix it and replaced throttle valve and Hybrid Converter InverterAs soon as we towed the car to this guys they called in an hour with good news. And fixed it very quick n cheap.Top best quality service with great communication guys on the phone. Today advised another friend who had some issue with his hybrid system to this shop.Thank you.”

“I was looking on yelp and found this place had a coupon, so I signed up for the text messages and got a seven dollar off premium oil change coupon. I had a lot of stuff to get done before the holidays and it needed badly to get my oil changed before the holiday weekend. I decided to go here since I didn't need an appointment and I'm glad I tried it out. The service is top notch. I dealt with two different men who were both very kind and professional. They definitely have some finesse and their groove down and worked extremely efficiently. I was second in line and only had to wait about five minutes to pull up into the garage. I didn't have to get out of my car. That was really nice because I was in the middle of errands. I'm used to going to places like Walmart to get my oil changed and it always takes forever. My only complaint is that it was a little pricey. For the high mileage synthetic oil it started at $90. I think when I get it changed at Walmart it is just under $70. (My air filter was extremely dirty and mangled so I got a new one as well and that was $26. ) For the convenience, I did not mind paying more today. I'm not sure if this will be my go to spot all of the time, but it was perfect for what I needed and I got my oil change Errand done very quickly today.”

Nobody pays for my creativity when I leave reviews or even leave a review. Like many others who take the time out of their lives to leave one, it is of our own wanting to help others. This place is old school. Hello, thank you, please...words on the banned word list were used. I'm surprised the Banned Word Fire Department (as in Fahrenheit 451) wasn't alerted. Fortunately, they were not therefore Oil Pro exists. No upsells, no this is wrong, that is wrong, or I need a filter for the ashtray sales pitches. Just clean, polite, affordable service. “I’ve taken my Toyota Camry to this shop multiple times, and they’ve had my back and charged less than other shops. Had windshield replaced, catalytic converter, a/c fixed, oil changes, and other work over time. Genuine guys that do good, consistent work and know what they’re doing (at least when it comes to my make/model). I’ve since moved in to the city but will be making my way out to Wilmette for car repairs because I trust their work so much and don’t want to struggle with mechanics that upcharge because I don’t know what I’m doing. “Nice and friendly owner that wants to help people and has his employees do the job fast. They only do oil changes and nothing else. If you need the oil change done quickly at a fair price, would come here. I am indifferent about the work that they do since it's just the oil and filter. If you go to a big box oil change place, they check on other things that you may not have thought of. The larger oil change place check for air tire pressure, engine air filter, interior car filter, automatic transmission fluid , brake fluid and more. If you don't know how to check those things, it is nice to have those checked out of you don't change your oil and filter often enough. Good to have reminders on these other car fluid checks on a regular basis. You can look at the check intervals on your car owners manual or looking online for those maintenance periods. I would visit them again if I need a quick change and no other maintenance checks are needed. This place is good for people that need oil changes when they need changes every month or two months of you are driving your car all the time.”

“JM Auto saved us. We had arrived to O'Hare, and our car broke down right before we were leaving for vacation. They answered the phone at 10pm on a Saturday to let us know we could have it towed and dropped off there. They had it up and running within days, and it was waiting for us when we flew back into Chicago. We had a 6 hour drive ahead of us to get home and made it safely.
