About Scott Air Force Base FamCamp
Scott Air Force Base FamCamp is a quiet and secure campground located in a private area on the base, reserved for military and retired veterans. The setting features two small lakes for fishing and non-motorized kayaking, a rubbery walking track, and a nearby golf course. The area is generally well-maintained with paved roads and sites, some of which are spacious and well-shaded, though some can be off-level. Amenities include water and electric hookups, but there are no sewer connections at the sites, only a central dump station. There is also no WiFi, and cell signal can be just okay. Facilities include large, well-maintained shower buildings and a laundry room, though the washers and dryers have sometimes been out of service for extended periods. The campground is considered a good value, with affordable fishing licenses and laundry. However, some guests note issues like occasional water outages, difficult access for larger rigs over 30 feet, and ruts in some spots. Noise from nearby training grounds with explosions can be heard. Reservations must be made in advance, and staff are typically described as very nice. While some find it ideal for short stays, longer visits can present challenges due to the limited hookups and occasional maintenance problems.

This is a favorite near St Louis.. quiet and have 2 lakes. Plenty of frogs, birds, and you can bring your own kayak (no motorized vehicles on the water). MWR also have other things to do such as Archery

Other than no sewer hookup at your site, this is a nice peaceful famcamp!
