I had my son bring in our dog because he was behaving strangely. Blood work was done and results given very quickly at a fair price. I have been bringing our fur babies to see Dr Stephanie for a very long time when she moved to Shorewood Animal Hospital we followed. ALL of the veterinarians are very knowledgeable and caring. We have seen all of the docs here. The staff is great !!!

We recently lost our dear fur baby Izzy after 15 1/2 yrs. Dr Ken Overmeyer made a awful task more bearable . He was so comforting and explained everything to us as we held our baby. He was very empathetic and soft spoken. He has been our vet since he worked in Joliet in the 1980's. Dr Maria, Dr. Robinson, and Cathy at the front desk have all been wonderful with all of our fur babies meeting all of their needs. I highly recommend them. They are a caring group and it's hard to find that these days. If and when we get another pet, we will go to them again.

My dog is about to turn 15 and has been struggling with walking. I met with Dr. Robinson and he was so kind and he looked her over and we had a great conversation. He suggested I try a wheelchair for her since she had good muscle tone and was still interested in so much - like eating, going for walks, and playing - she was just struggling to walk on all fours. We got the wheelchair a week later and it's been a game changer for her. She plays again and is super feisty. We definitely recommend Shorewood Animal Hospital!

Impossible to get in to see a vet. I've been coming here for years and lately it is impossible to get an appointment in any reasonable time. I called to get my cat neutered and was told they don't have any availability until next year. Are you flipping kidding me? I had an emergency 2 weeks ago with my dog and they aren't willing to make any adjustments to get him in quickly. I'm done with this place.

We have been going to Shorewood Animal hospital for over 15 + years. We first saw Dr. Ken but now seem to see Dr. Robinson. We really appreciate how both Veterinarian's are so very kind and caring to our dogs. Thank you!!

i called asking for help or advice for my hamster that was acting sick, i talked to the receptionist on the phone and explained my issue she immediately said "well the exotics doctor is busy?" saying like as if i was supposed to know that?? how could i know what that doctor is doing??!! i'm not there? i had a simple question and she was just rude in her tone. When you were working with animals you should be kind and caring if someone has a question because you're dealing with someone's loved pet. just bad service. be nicer.

Dr. Stephanie is the kindest, most gentle vet ever. My dogs love her and I trust whatever she says. She has amazing knowledge. Dr. Stephanie is the real deal.

Garbage place with garbage vets and staff. I love how this business is categorized under "Boarding" HA! What they don't tell you is that there is no overnight staff. So your dog will be alone at night for about 10 hours minimum. And if they urinate or defecate on themselves, the vets will give them right back to you with urine and feces all over them. Some great veterinary and "boarding" business, huh?

Doctor Robinson is great!! He is very positive and pleasant and made both me and my dog very comfortable and this was our first visit. We will definitely be making him our doctor permanently. Doctor Robinson seems very genuine and that is very important. For a first impression he definitely nailed it!!!

Our dog has seasonal allergies and in return gets ear infections. Shorewood animal hospital is always so kind and caring when dealing with Chief. He wags his tail the entire time he's getting treated. Would recommend to anyone for their pets

My dog recently had ligament repair surgery. Not only did Dr. Ken do a great job with the surgery itself, he went above and beyond to take the time to explain the injury and discuss options, and called me immediately after the surgery to give me an update. At pick up, Dr. Maria took time to sit and chat with me about aftercare. The techs and staff took great care of her while she was there. Knowing how busy this practice is, it speaks volumes that the doctors and staff always take the time to explain, inform, and answer questions. I've had very different experience at veterinary clinics in the past. I never feel that I'm rushed, or "a number" to get in and out to make room for the next appointment. All of the doctors and staff are amazing and a pleasure to work with. I wouldn't trust any other office with my fur babies.

My dog has a chronic Illness, Addison's disease. I visit Shorewood Animal Hospital for my dogs maintenance medicine. Dr. Streitz, she earned my loyalty by her expertise in her field, including her compassion as a person. As well as Dr. Robinson. I have experienced the support staffs kindness as well as their patience. I'm grateful that I have such a reliable access of veterinary support in my own community.
