I rarely write reviews, but the service was so poor I had to for this situation. I brought my car in for an oil change and a week later my car started leaking oil. I brought it back in to this Firestone to get it looked at and when my car was done they called me and all they said was “your car is ready” no explanation of what was wrong. When I got in to pick up my car I asked why it was leaking oil, the tech had no clue so he went back in the shop to ask another tech. One of the techs came into the customer area not knowing it was me asking the question and loudly shouted “JUST TELL HIM WE FIXED IT AND WE DID IT FOR FREE, WHY DOES HE EVEN CARE!” The other (non screaming tech), just let me know they did a free oil change
I was so mad and flustered that I took my keys and left, after I cooled off and I called them back and demanded to know why they gave me a free oil change, he then finally informed me that they had left the oil plug off when they had done my oil change before and had to fix it. They were trying to cover up their mistake and just say they did an oil change for free, they provided me with no receipt or explanation until I had to call them and pry it out of them. When I got home my battery caps that have the plus and negative sign on them were on my windshield not properly put back on and now my engine shield, the plastic piece under the car where the engine is came lose because they didn’t properly put it back on. I now have to go to the dealership to get the screws for the plate and take it somewhere else to get it put back on. If a shop can’t do a simple oil change the. I have zero faith they can do anything else properly. This place is incompetent and shady. Do not go there.

Scheduled online to get my brakes done after being quoted, almost double from the dealership, took it in. Pete took care of me and let me know that I didn’t need brakes all around even though I was told otherwise by the dealership mechanic. Saved me 600 bucks and was a pleasure to work with! 10 out of 10 would recommend

I've never written a review on anything before, but Firestone in Shorewood deserves less than 1-star for their ineptitude and poor customer service skills.
I dropped my car off Monday knowing that there was an alternator issue going on. Sure, no problem. I made the appointment online and it was confirmed. I got a call that day confirming it was the alternator. I was also guaranteed it'd be done that day.
Come Monday mid-afternoon- no call indicating it will be done by end of day. I call to ask for an update. They said it will be done tomorrow morning (Tuesday). Tuesday rolls around, still not done and now it's another part that no longer works. Which can only be purchased by the dealer, apparently. They ensured it would be done by Tuesday evening.. come Tuesday mid-afternoon again still no update. So I call again... to find out it won't be done and it will be done Wednesday morning.. This process repeated until Wednesday afternoon- when it was finally completed..
After $1400 down the drain for a battery replacement, fuse box, and alternator replacement. I get my keys to go turn my car on, and what do you know- check engine light is on along with traction control light on..
I go back in and ask what the deal is and they say "You didn't ask for diagnostics." OR whatever they say. Funnily enough, my car had no lights on when I dropped it off... they said "Idk, leave it over night." Or something along those lines.. what a comical joke.
I left to go to O'Reillys down the street to get a code test.. there was a gracious guy there willing to help me out. He had the full-blown electronic tester.. he found the issue and the code immediately.. Popped open my hood and found snipped wires on the camshaft. I don't know anything about cars at all, but he guided me through it.
Took my car down to Tuffy's on 59, near Caton farm.. should have went there to begin with.. For anything mechanical based, go elsewhere. Firestone is just a recipe for disaster.. unless it's for oil changes or tire rotations I guess..
Like I said, I never leave reviews and this is my first ever.. but wow. Do better.

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill pretty badly. I've been told that I need a "battery service" to "remove the build-up on the terminals" on my AGM Battery; (Do a LITTLE Research) which would up-turn the entire battery industry. Aside from such; the front counter people no longer have the knowledge that they used to [appearently].

I've bought tires here >6 times already.
Every visit has been satisfactory so far... I had my Durango in yesterday for nails in my tire (Road Hazard Covered) and to have the alignment corrected (Previous Lifetime Alignment). I find humor reading some of the negative reviews here. The salesman tried his best to drop the cost to me as much as possible. In the end; I happily paid for Road Hazard coverage on the replacement tire.
We drive almost 10min extra verses the Mokena store out of preference...
They're Honest Good People and provide GREAT Service!!!

Made an appointment at 10 am currently 1pm and car hasn’t been worked on , all I needed done was an alignment . After complaining car got worked on , caused me too be late too my job. I should’ve listened too the reviews. Customer service was somewhat helpful

Very nice service manager, called in about service and got me right in and fixed my car immediately! Service was great and very affordable, will be coming back for sure for future tires and other services needed.

Came in without an appointment for a front wheel alignment.and they still put my vehicle for service while I waited.very grateful.for there hard work.and time to help me.
