Star nails is still #1 in Joliet/Shorewood area. I have tried other salons but they are hands down one of the best! If you're not happy with your nails speak up, before you leave, don't complain about it afterwards. We were both a little disappointed with the work. Tried again very pleased, so far!

You will never go to a nail salon that cares more about their customers. Ever. Tommy & Shawn will never hesitate to go above an beyond to ensure you leave happy. I’ve been coming here regularly for about a year and even by my second visit they knew my name & always made me feel welcomed and comfortable. They do everything in their power to ensure you like your experience & will send someone to fix your nails in a heartbeat if needed! Love these guys & this place ❤️

How is always my go to girl. Holly, Smoky, and Lewis have all done my nails. They always do an amazing job. Henry does my daughter's nails and they always turn out great. Tammy always does my mother-in-law's nails. And she always leaves with a big smile on her face.

I loved Jessie! She gets 5stars!But the place refuses to do nailart if they cant use the more expensive No Chip. I told them from my first call, when I made my appointment, I can Not do No Chip, it peels right offmy nails. I told everyone this. They said we cannot guarentee the work. I said thats ok, I still want it with my own polish. They said nothing more and proceeded to move me to the back for my pedicure first. The pedicure was great! Jessie is fantastic!I then showed the next woman who was going to do my acrylics, my design, she said she can only do no chip. I said again, I can not do No Chip. The woman refused to do my nails. So I asked if anyone else could do them. The desk lady went around asking. No one could do it.This is just bad business. What hapenned to customer service? No one suggested a new design or anything. I'm in the salon industry. I have done nails in the past. But I dont like to do my own nails. To bad Star Nails, you missed out on referrals and future business from me.

I’ve been coming here for years and everyone is very nice. The last few months my dips have not been lasting 2 weeks. My nails keep cracking, sometimes after only 2 days. I cannot keep going back to constantly get nails fixed. I’m not sure what is going on as I’ve never had this problem prior. Maybe their liquids are contaminated.

I have been to nail salons all across the country, from Mississippi, TN, CA, TX & IL to name a few. I can honestly say that the people at Star Nails have provided me with top notch service! The managers are very personable & talk to their customers as if they’re best of friends & they truly listen to the kind of service you want and they deliver! Thank you Sean for taking the time I needed tonight when I came in unexpectedly & you were busy yet you delivered. I’m a client for good!!! Thank you again for the best service ever … anywhere! I’ve been getting non chip gel nails for many years at this place , but since about couple of months ago I’ve started experiencing itching and swelling of my cuticles and swelling near my fingernails. I’m not sure if they switched to a different product, but it’s getting worse . Every technician that did my nails recently is been using a file and filing not only my nails but also father into my fingers, which is not pleasant and often hurts . Last time I went in couple of my cuticles started bleedingI have to try a new nail salonPictures of my swollen fingers and cuticlesServices: Nail extensions

Worst pedicure ever! This guy used the nippers way too aggressively! He actually ripped skin off both feet by my big toes. I yelled OUCH! He immediately put my foot in the water so I couldn’t see it bleeding. Next day both my feet are so sore and you see where they were bleeding! He acted like he had no idea what I was saying. I’m done with Star NailsService: Pedicure

I've been going to Star Nails for almost 9 years. And for years people would always complain about how they are money hungry. I never experienced until today 6/30/23 for my 4pm appointment. I didn't book with anyone specifically like I normally do because this was last minute. I just requested extra time and someone who's great with ingrown toenails. Extra time is an extra 30 minutes, all of their services have to be completed within 30 minutes per their policy. I get calluses on my heals really bad and I've never had any issue with them taking care of my feet during my pedicure service. I strictly go to Star Nails for ALL of my pedicures. I had a hour long pedicure service per my request and still got a rushed job. I soaked for 20 minutes and that left David with exactly 40 minutes to get to me and do my pedicure service. I instructed him to scrub harder on my heals because he was being very gentle, after 2 times if repeating myself, he finally grab another blue disposable scrubber and just scrubbed my heals with NO CALLUSES REMOVER product. Last time I booked a pedicure service I complained about my heals not being completely serviced and they told me I needed to book more time. So this time around I booked extra time, only to receive a rushed job yet again. I told the ladies at the front desk that I would need some sort of discount to compensate the bad service after I did what they manager told me to do last time which was book more time. They go to the manager and he immediately says no and if I want them to fix it I will have to pay for another pedicure. He didn't even look at my feet to see what the issue actually was. After years of giving them my money, today was the last time. It's the summer of 2023 and they are still all about money rather customer satisfaction, loyal customer or not. My mother who's also been going Star Nails the same amount of time stated they have given her rushed pedicures as well. So all the business I sent their way, I will be advising them to not return. People work hard for their money to not even be able to have some type of resolution to their problem in this establishment. And seeing how most of their employees barely and I do mean barely speak English, I will be contacting authorities to see if they are all licensed to perform nail services on customers. Cause if I remember correctly, I was close with someone who worked there and I was informed that most of the employees do not have licenses. All this place care about is MONEY. That's why they ALL walk around with the latest high end designer and Kim and her cousin who still work at Star Nails was able to open the Boba Tea shop next door. F Star Nails seriously! DO NOT recommend anyone to go to this place if you are of color. Cause I promise you; if a palm colored woman was complaining they would've fixed the issue.

I wish there was a "zero" star. A few years ago, I tried to get in for a pedi, only to be turned away by the rude guy . . . said to myself, I'll never go back. Today, I felt like giving them another chance. Walked in, was asked what I wanted, asked for a pedicure, and was told in a not so nice voice "don't have time." I walked out, and thought to myself that no one deserves to be spoken to like that . . . walked back in and said (to the same rude guy) "why do you say (on the sign outside) that walk-ins are welcome, when you're always so rude to them?" Needless to say, I'll never return. There are two places in Edwards, Natural Nails and Chippen Nails, that are so nice and welcoming, and if they don't have time, they'll offer to schedule an appointment. Star Nails, thanks for nothing! ~Suzi H

I will always go to Star Nails because I have found someone that does my nails very well, but my mom had a terrible experience today. I took my mom to get her nails done because we are going on vacation next week, and someone that I believe is new (Pam) did my mom's pedicure. Pam definitely needs more training, because she basically filed my mom's skin off. My mom isn't one to complain, but when she was "filing" her "nails", my mom felt like passing out and was very light headed. This has NEVER happened to her before! Lastly, Pam kept complaining that the color she chose (red) was hard to apply (like what??) and that is why she kept getting it all over her toe and herself. When I was finished with my nails, I had to ask someone else to redo some of her toes because they just looked horrible. All in all, Pam is a nice person, but DO NOT get her as a nail tech! Only bad experience I've had here. If you are in need of a recommendations though, all of these girls are great: Thi, Holly, Jenny.
