I did a search for a 26 ft moving truck and landed at the Home Depot in Shorewood. Apparently, this was more my fault but their system of truck rental is absolutely absurd.I searched for a truck on Friday evening at their website and it appeared that they had a 26 ft moving truck available. This was not the case when I arrived on Saturday morning to pick it up. I couldn't tell if the older woman in the rental area was rude or fed up with her own company's methodology for doing rentals. She told me that she did not have a truck available for me and that it says right on the website that you have to rent 24 hours ahead of time for them to be able to deliver a truck for you and that I ordered the truck too late the previous evening. Then why not have in big red letters that there is no availability for what I'm looking for. I believe it does, in fact, say that a truck is available.Now I know why it takes uhaul so much time to figure out if they have a truck available for you because they are checking real-time stock and telling you what nearby facilities have one available for you. Home Depot / Penske just makes you believe there is a truck available and when you get there, NO TRUCK IS AVAILABLE.It's just another glowing example of how Home Depot has fallen so far behind companies like Menards and Lowe's.

Mia proved her value to Home Depot today. She went above and beyond to assist me with finding a small recycling can. The location of these were incorrect and she took the time to look it up, walk the store, and find this. Lost a star for the inaccurate location to big in with, but gain so much respect for this young person as she showed initiative and excellent customer service today!

Went here looking for a certain strip of trim and the employees were very helpful and found what I was trying to describe, also the store is kept pretty clean as well

Today I went there to return a 20 dollar hose that I didn’t need that was a close to 2,000 purchase. The lady who must be somewhat in charge was being snappy. The lady at register saw the receipt and said out load you bought this in Joliet. The Snappy lady said with out seeing or even knowing what I was returning said that’s a special order you can’t return that here. I told her no it’s a hose that I didn’t need for our new Fridge, she then says you still can’t return it here. The lady helping me scans it and said it ecpected it the other lady comes over to try to stop it the. says to her you shouldn’t of. accepted it, next time dont do it. I said why, she said it’s store policy you need to return it to store you bought it from? told her thats d**** she said she doesn’t make the policies. I’ve done retail and I Know that hits their stores Margins but, as customer that’s not my issue, I got to chains so I can exchange with no issues plus this was a lot closer to where I live. Tell you what, Menards had no issues when I return items from another store, may have to go there going forward!

Instead of wasting your time driving to this poorly managed store. Just buy online from Amazon since you'll have to come here and then order online anyways. This place is a waste of a trip every time.

???WHAT DO I DO?!? I returned a $300+ chair to The Home Depot on 6/19/2022 at 6PM. They said the store credit would come by email but I never received it and they said it shows it was sent my email, but I don’t have it. I checked that same day and the day after and then forgot but Halloween is here so I said perfect! I’ll go grab some decorations. I went in Monday, September 12th, 2022 to ask how do I get my store credit since I didn’t receive it by email. The response and follow up has been SHOCKING! 1) They won’t give me the store credit because they said they want to see if I already received it by physical cards. They checked the records and it shows it was by email and they checked my ID and it wasn’t issued to me by ID. 2) She then stated how do we know you didn’t issue it to your husband or someone else? We want to review the tapes. 3) She won’t give me the store credit code because she said she wants to confirm I didn’t already use it (even if I did it’s not like I could use it again) This whole thing is weird and she keeps passively aggressively accusing me already receiving it when I DID not. I really am at a loss on what to do?!? They said they have to check tapes and speak with corporate?! I am utterly shocked that they are making me feel as though I am scamming, thieving or did something wrong. Home Depot should be ashamed how this whole thing went down. I would NEVER steal and to basically be accused and on top of it not issued my store credit when they accepted the return is just shocking to me.

On June 23rd I purchased a garage door opener with professional installation. I wish I had been warned about the poor service and empty promises. The garage door stopped working 10 mins after installation. As of today it is still not working. I've complained many times at the store only to be told that someone will reach out. What a joke. They are all about customer service when you are purchasing the product. But as soon as there are problems then you are on your own. Do not purchase any appliances or so called professional installation from this Home Depot. I wish I would of looked at all the bad reviews here before I made my purchase. Buyer beware of the empty promises and unwillingness to fix the issues. I do not recommend them and I definitely will not return.

I've been to this Home Depot many times last year, and my experience was generally positive. I'm not sure who is managing the store now, but it is a complete mess. Extremely disorganized. Garden supplies are tacked onto random aisles instead of being easily accessible. It was all in the front last year. That area is now filled with patio furniture. I'd planned to shop for pots, plants, trellis material, etc, but areas were closed off or filled with clutter. I will take my future business elsewhere. Their competitors garden departments are very easy to navigate.

Do not buy appliances here. The delivery service they use is terrible. They came to deliver our fridge and we were told that we had to remove the doors, and they gave us a number to call when that was done and they would come back. Sorry my husband removed the doors, called back and got Home Depot who has nothing to do deliveries. My husband spoke to 4 different people who all told him the same thing, that they are on their route and we would have to reschedule for next week! He asked the last person if this is a normal occurrence, and she said, unfortunately with this delivery company it is. The next week different delivery guys came and had no problem removing our old fridge with the doors on! He said that when this company is backed up with work, they hire day workers who obviously don't want to work! So you're taking a chance buying appliances here

I had to return an appliance this morning. A lovely woman told me that a man would meet me at the front of the store to help me unload it. Instead the man ignored me and didn't say anything to me. He helped others though. Didn't even tell me he would assist me in a few minutes. So I was able to get the appliance in the store myself thank goodness. The lovely woman working behind the counter asked him why he didn't help me and he said because I didn't need it lol. Just a complete son of a b***** He needs to be retrained on how to deal with customers. The ignorance and disrespect was embarrassing. It didn't help that I cut my finger moving the thing by myself! But shout out to that lady she was so nice and called him out for not helping me in front of everyone. She also gave me a band aid. Thank you.

This store gets really busy on weekends lots of traffic, add some narrow aisles, top it off with employees who stand at the front register area, chatting like 4 to 5 people blocking the aisles, like go stand in the back room and do nothing there
