I loved this store until my experience yesterday. Normally everyone apart of staff is friendly and helpful. I guess you have a new security guard who wanted to prove her worth after I walked away from self checkout.
The issue is, she had a foul, unprofessional attitude. All of my items were scanned. Not only did she refuse to tell me “Have a nice day”, while I was about to leave, she looked me up and down like I was garbage and stood around laughing and joking with the cashier while the cashier was trying to do her job.
I noticed she ran to the register that I used as I was leaving. I asked her if she needed something because of the hateful attitude she displayed. I was not going to wait for her to come to the parking lot and lie as Im SURE she would done.
She printed another receipt, came and checked my items, putting her hands all over my food and then said “Your bread is smashed. You may go”. Excuse me? Lastly, she refused to give me the receipt with my debit information on it. She said it was “HER’S”. I requested to speak with her manager. The difference was night and day in behavior. Im not sure of who's hiring practices brought about this unprofessional “security guard” but it I strongly recommend that it’s corrected. If I wanted to experience the type of unwarranted, rude attitude she displayed, I’d go the west end of Rock Island. This questionable employee is a blot on an otherwise good establishment. What even was that?!? That was a messed up, weird experience. She’s turned the store into a hostile, unfriendly, unwelcoming environment for no reason other than poor training and questionable credentials on dealing with the public and security. The poor elderly gentleman at self checkout became visibly uncomfortable.
I’ve never dealt with this in my entire life. I shop at Aldi for the great products and reasonable prices. After this incident, I’ll choose a different retail chain to shop at.

Only self check open. No cashier in site. Lane not open, light not on. I'm not waiting on a maybe. It was 7 at night. I gave myself plenty of time before they closed. I left non perishables on the belt and put the rest in a freezer/cooler. There was a line behind me. My time is valuable, as is everyone else else's. I went to Walmart. That close to close, there should be someone up there at all times. I would have LOVED to check myself out, but, ya'll only take card at self check and I had cash.

Love, love, love, that there are self checkouts now..Total game changer for me. I will definitely be back! Produce was good, and we love their salsa. I prefer self checkout, and their system is very quick! Got in and out in no time, and didn't have to bother a cashier, because they looked BUSY. Thank you Aldi, I hope this is a system you keep.

I just left out this location been coming in for years. I had barely any items. I went throught he self check out to be faster than a long line. As I finished scanning and paid I started towards the door. The cashier from behind me hollars at me to come here. She checked my receipt for every item on it. I said I didn't steal not a thing. Every item has been scanned and paid for. She claimed the machine went off. The machine never went off. I refuse to be back with my service. I have never been and never will be a thief. DO BETTER!

Who would have thought renting a cart for a quarter could be so much fun?
This Aldi's is in a super convenient location right by Wal-Mart. If you can't find it at Aldi's, head on over to Wal-Mart and vice versa or head to Jewels across the street if you want to spend a lot of money!
You know how you go in a grocery store and they change crap around? Not here! They haven't changed the layout either since it opened which is nice.
The store is very clean. The staff are meh. You can tell they work their tails off though. I guess that's how they keep the prices down.
Checkout is a breeze. You can choose between self check out or assisted. I personally choose assisted so the checkout person can keep up with their skills!
What sets Aldi's apart is you get to bag your own groceries which is great to me. I'd rather go through my OCD motions of putting groceries away exactly the way I want to.
After putting groceries away in your vehicle you get to return the cart. When you get to the cart rack you may not meet a wide receiver or a tight end, but you will get your quarterback! Woohoo!

Aldi now has a good produce section and some very healthy dips made with yogurt. I don't do all my shopping here but Aldi is on my list now when it wasn't for many years.

I love Aldi. The new self check out is a disaster. Most people shop at Aldi like myself to stock up with a cart full. Since the self checkout (over a couple months my observation ) there has been one (1) person (that’s it folks) scanning groceries with 10 people waiting in line and then 3 lanes of self check out that NO one wants to go to (too old, too many groceries, hey I am already paying for my cart, no baggers, no customer service.). Great deals but you have to bring back the checkers! You can do better and you are going to go down without it … there is a limit that people will accept.

Used to love this place, but not I cannot stand the self-checkouts. What happened to the knowledgeable staff and why do you have potatoes and onions together?Good prices in general but I'll probably go to one of the other locations.
