Silvis Illinois Walmart Close to my house, shop there all the time, since we moved here I and my business have spent tens of thousands of dollars there. Seriously. I made an online order. I did not receive what I ordered. Ordered a vacuum sealer and received a rug. Walmart.com said I could return it to the store. It would save me time and save them postage money, so why not? The store REFUSED TO ACCEPT IT. The paperwork showed the order number. The postage label on the box showed the order number. The postage label showed the weight of the package, which matched what I was returning. The tall, thin, blonde young man working the counter with the smart mouth and condescending attitude needs to be slapped across the face a few times just before he's fired. I was told to call 1800walmart. I did. It took several tries and I finally reached a rep who told me exactly the same thing the paperwork I'd printed off from walmart.com told me. Return to the customer service center at your local Walmart. He told me to let him speak to the rep who refused to speak to him and the man REFUSED. He actually backed away from the counter. The rep told me he would make a report and hung up. I was still stuck with a $59.95 charge and an ugly rug. I sat in the parking lot and called the next closest Walmart, which is in Moline, Illinois. The person who answered asked me what the order number was and she pulled it up. She could see that I had already reported the mistake. Then she asked me to look at the package and see if there was an order number there. There was and it matched. All things that sat on the counter in the Silvis store but the employees refused to help with. She told me to come down to her store and there would be absolutely no problem. Just to make sure I called the next closer store to that one which is in Davenport, Iowa, and was basically told exactly the same thing. These people at the Silvis store should be fired. Immediately. The smart mouthed short round woman who waited on me first but didn't want to so asked the tall guy how to get out of it, told me to call 1800Walmart, and then the guy who I went back to after I'd talked to the 800 number. So, I went to the Moline store, my problem was taken care of within minutes. I will never shop at Silvis again and will always tell people of my bad experience. I'm serious. I spend one hell of a lot of money there. Sometimes I go there every day. My business needs are huge. They lost a good customer.

While this store has Walmart's newest look it must have a high theft issue. While less crowded than the moline location down the street there are issueAt self checkout there is one person for every bank of checkouts. They stand next to you breathing down your neck. Then when you go to leave there's a grumpy old man in a scooter barking/grunting that he needs receipts. The woman in front of me had to dig in her pocket for her receipt as she was carrying one item, a gallon of milk. He grunted took my receipt then glared at me for about 30 seconds before handing it back. This is traumatic for someone with autism and panic disorder such as myself. It does depend which set of doors you exit as I'd been there before and not had any issues with the other gatekeepers. I'm to anxious to go to this location again.

If there's one thing I can say about this Walmart, it's that I don't hate it. I mean, it's no five-star Walmart (if those exist), but it's a decent place to pick up what you need. That said, It's exponentially better than the Walmart in Moline, and that's saying something. However, I do have to ding them on cleanliness - sometimes it feels like you need a hazmat suit just to touch the grocery carts or baskets. And don't even get me started on the personal shoppers - they tend to obstruct the aisles and convey annoyance towards customers. It can be frustrating when you're trying to navigate through the store and find what you need, but the personal shoppers seem to be more of an obstacle than a help. Overall, if you're in a pinch and need to grab something quick, this Walmart will do the trick - just be prepared to lower your standards a bit.

Cleaner than most Walmarts. This store is a little smaller and more manageable. Contrary to previous reviews, there are indeed human cashiers. Employees are hard-working and helpful. Lots of parking. Several businesses inside store; subway, Woodforest bank, hair salon, optometrist, and more. If you're looking for something you'll likely find it here.

The auto department here is garbage. The man "helping" me was so rude and disrespectful. He continuously walked away from me when I was talking and kept interrupting me. He was so rude and I would never come here again. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I had never been here before and was asking how things work and what I should do to which he responded "you can't park here" and left. So rude!!!
