I used to love shopping at Eddie Bauer, but I feel their quality and return policies aren’t as good as they used to be.Regardless, this Old Orchard store is so big and full of everything we could use for our adventures, they have a large shoes department and the sales people seems to know their stuff.

I visited the store in search of a winter jacket. I noticed online the jacket I wanted was on clearance, so I brought it to the front and said "hey, I saw online this rang up on sale so I wanted to see what it rang up as here. Could you check for me?" The woman did and it rang up full price, not on sale. At this point she grabs another woman (I assume w more seniority) with shoulder length curly dark brown/gray hair to assist.They go back and forth verifying it's the right product, etc. Eventually the more senior woman tells me in an abrasive tone "no we won't do this" and I proceed to ask why, since it's the same product. "we only just got this jacket in, we cannot." I say "I'm confused because your website says it's on clearance so do you not do price matching in store from your own website?" She says that since my size is out of stock online that they won't honor the price.She continues to rudely tell me over and over " no no I will not do this" in a patronizing way, waving her arms around, acting as if I'm making ridiculous demands of them. Then she grabs the jacket and hangs it up on the rack behind her and walks away.There was no explanation of "well our policy is..." or "the reason it is sometimes like this is...". Honestly, just a kind explanation coupled with "do you still want to buy it today?" Or even just "sorry for the confusion" would have been enough.I was prepared to buy it full price even if it wasn't on sale, but after being met with hostility for asking a few simple questions, I've opted to not purchase and ended up going with the Norseland jacket from REI.As someone with outdoor industry management experience in customer service, I was appalled at how unnecessarily rude they were. This store could benefit from some training.

I just went to this store, the time on Google says they close at 8. Due to staffing shortages they changed their hours to 7pm during the week.

My wife and I went into the Old Orchard store today. We had the pleasure of meeting Heidi- friendly, accomodating, she made us feel really welcome. We will be back!

Love the classic styles and well made clothes and outerwear, this location is smaller but they still have a good selection.

They have the NICEST people in the world working at this location! Everyone had always been so helpful with questions, returns, points status.. this is my happy place!

Went to the Old Orchard store around 12 noon to return a pair of pants on Feb. 18th. Three employees were at or near the 2 registers: one checking out a customer and the other two employees standing there occasionally chatting. No acknowledgment when I stood at the register. When I finally said can you help me, the older gentleman said no, and continued to stand there. The young women ignored me. I stood there for 5 more minutes when the young woman finally helped me, and acted annoyed. No other customers were in the store but the other customer. No one ever said hello, good bye or can I help you. Poor service at this store.

I will never shop online with this store again. Customer service is terrible. I needed to change the size of two items in my order and they changed the product instead of the size. I called customer service to change the order again and they said I couldn’t and needed to wait to receive the wrong merchandise and return it then. They wasted over two hours of my time throughout both processes. Chat and phone service are terrible

Nice selection and many coats have plus sizes in stock. The best part was the customer service. Tori handled my return that involved a call to corporate (my mistake) and was so kind and helpful! Thanks Tori!

Extremely rude customer service...Young lady (Jocelyn or Aiyleen, not sure) was extremely arrogant and disrespectful when we asked to check if they had another size...Not sure how a brand like Eddie Bauer can tolerate their employees being disrespectful to their loyal customers. Like this lady really needs lessons in customer service..I see other reviews to the same effect
