Recently moved to the area from Florida. I came here for the fresh squeezed orange juice. Which is absolutely fantastic and considerably less money than the 2 other competitors. I cannot say enough nice things about this store it had everything. It's clean, neat and the product selection is fantastic.

Do not buy the "2 for $12" dinners or the hot bar. I gave this one last try and will never do it again. Bought fried rice and noodle dish a few weeks ago. Both tasted like they came out of a can, the noodles had a somewhat rubbery taste. Tried the meat loaf and "wings" this past Friday. Wings I think were actually tenders but were so hard and dry I couldn't eat them. The meat loaf had the consistency of tofu and had a metallic taste and odd smell. Even the bbq sauce poured over it didn't help. For the 2nd time I wanted to pick up dinner from the hot bar at 5:15 and once again almost everything was covered. What wasn't covered was a spoonful of crusty mac n cheese, pieces of fish swimming in a watery sauce and something dark and crusty that I could not identify. I don't know what's going on because the hot bar was always good, fresh looking and full but the past three times I've been there it looks like leftovers from the day before. Needless to say I won't be going back.

Dear Mariano's Lincolnwood, Today, I had received a call and a visit from CPD Detectives asking me for more information on a former deceased classmate of mine who is apparently now deceased a second time. CPD Detectives stated they obtained a copy of this victim's drivers license and her rental car agreement, the later of which listed me as a cosigner. The detective stated she found was handed these documents by one of your employees, and wanted to see if I can provide more information on the cause of the accident. The driver's license had an issuance date long after her deceased date, and it was the same picture on her high school senior yearbook, which was taken a few months prior to death. That means, she would've had to have renewed that license issued long after she was 6 feet under. So, good job to whoever issued that fake ID thinking people wont be able to notice numbers and pictures. Genius. May I also note how remarkable it is for whichever of your employees to think that a person deceased in 2005 can also somehow also be deceased in 2023. The officer routinely stated "the location on Touhy gave these documents."The second piece of evidence she brought with her was the Hertz car rental agreement, which included her as : "I, Hertz, do herein.....". The pick up was at San Francisco International, drop off at some location in Ft. Wayne. My deceased friend were to serve as primary driver, and another friend and I to serve as co-guarantors. To serve as co-guarantor, one would need to be at the check-in counter at the pick up location with their own credit card and ID, along with the primary driver, so as to be financially responsible for loss/damage in case the primary driver isnt able. The icing on the cake? It was written, in Arial font, and no corporate letterhead or Hertz branding on the rental agreement. It looked like someone just typed it up in 20 minutes using legal jargon, and scribbled our signatures on there without our consent. Another topic I gleamed over is that this Mariano's employee at the Touhy location was in possession of these documents. What were they doing in his/her hands, for as I know, the rental agreement belongs in the lockbox under the console, and the ID belongs on the person of the ID holder. What was your employee doing with them? I noticed the two documents were in pristine condition. No burns, damages, or destruction, as one would expect if they were involved in a fatal car crash. The officer showed them to me, and said the accident happened a few days ago. Yet the documents looked like they were just made yesterday. I have asked the detectives to keep me informed if they.need anything else from me. Again, this is an active investigation now. Charges in this case now involve larceny, identity theft, theft of personal documents, and fraud. Pending further investigation, I have asked the detectives to go back to your branch and question the employee about how they were able to obtain these documents. I will not be afraid to pursue litigation on conclusion of this investigation. Needless to say, I definitely wont be shopping there again.

This store is just a few blocks from my house. I haven't really shopped here since Kroeber took it over and todays visit reminded me why! The produce department doesn't have "fresh looking " produce. You need to really search for the right fruits and vegetables. The store itself is just messy and it feels dirty. I was waiting at the meat counter tonight, there was one gentleman cleaning the case with the chicken . There was another gentleman in the seafood department, and there was a woman on the customer side of the counter, she was joking around with another customer for a minute or two, I have no problem with that. The problem I did have was she saw me waiting, went behind the counter, then completely ignored me being there! The nice young man who was working on the seafood side saw this walked over and helped me. He was the most helpful person in the store. Even the cashier was more interested in looking at her phone to ch close either the time or if she had any text messages.I just can't shop there anymore, I have been to other Mariano's and I don't think there is another store as disappointing as the Skokie store .

First time back in about 6 months. We live about 3.5 miles, & would go out of our way to shop here for the following reasons: -live piano music, excellent salad & hot bar, pizza oven, sushi, & bbq. -grab a drink at the bar, enjoy live music, & grocery shop-clean tidy & organized store-good quality produce/meat/seafoodBUT then...Kroger bought this store & every went down hill. The hot food is terrible, fruits/veg are terrible, the customer service is a joke, & I feel like I'm in Walmart when shopping at this store. **now they have removed the live music**They were stocking shelves in the middle of peak shopping time , 5pm. You couldn't go down certain isles due to crates of boxes blocking the way, and it's always like this!! That is the absolute last time I enter this store!Kroger should be be ashamed at how they decimated this store.

I've been shopping here weekly for 2+ years since moving back to Chicago so it's time for a review. As some might have mentioned, the carts can be janky. This happens at literally any grocer/retail store. I just find one that isn't & keep it moving. They generally have stock of ALL my items when I come here but that said, we're living in different times. Stores are more than likely to be out of things you never had issues finding before. Again, I'm remaining unbothered. If it's not here, I'll get it elsewhere. Where this grocer shines is their prepped foods. Chicken - specifically the rotisserie, baked, & fried. It makes my "meal prep" easy for the work week. Macaroni & cheese is heavenly. Produce is fresh - yes sometimes you might have to pick through the bunch but you'll do this everywhere. And the pies... I'm not even a pie person, but I appreciate their caramel walnut apple pie. I'll buy the 1/2 ones & it's a real treat. Two-bite pecan tarts are also a nice dessert. The bakery is a delight. This location is also clean - unsure where all the negative comments are coming from. Sometimes you'll end up in areas where they're restocking. Anyone I've run into is polite or simply moves so you can get by. The young man I usually see tending to carts in the parking lot is probably the friendliest, cheeriest person you'll meet. I rarely wait in line as I just take my things through self checkout & even then, it's pretty typical. Scan-pay-leave. Scanning their rewards card also gets you up to $0.10 off gas at BP stations. You're getting groceries anyway & anything off gas these days is welcome. I'll continue coming here as I can get in & out of here quickly & of course... leave with some hot chicken to enjoy at home. If you need to grab groceries or just grab some food to make a quick meal, this place is worth a visit.

Poor customer service. Trickery to get you to pay full price even when your insurance covers it. Scam artists and rip off. Only at this pharmacy never had a problem until I started going here.

Came for the Carbmaster milk only they carry. At 11:30 am they are cleaning out the dairy cases, barely any milk for sale. Employee said he can't go in the back to get my milk. How about cleaning the dairy cases at 11:30 pm?

Zeth who works in the Kosher Seafood Department is ignorant, unprofessional, and a bully! He makes these terrible jokes and likes to bully customers who are not Orthodox Jewish (I am Roman Catholic). I lost my patience with him yesterday where he insulted me in front of the other customers and I called him out for it. He said it was a conversation and I walked away by calling him a j**** I made a complaint to one of the managers which they immediately apologized and he even spoke to him. The j*** still have the nerve to say it was a conversation. I even told him the other negative experiences I had with him in the past. The manager will continue to have a conversation with him. I reached out to corporate and they send my complaint to their store management team. Their solution was to have a "appropriate conversations" with Zeth which I doubt it would help because his mind is like a KAREN. Mariano's need to terminate him immediately!

Have not been to this store in 3-4 months. Went there tonight and will not make plans to go back anytime soon. Over few years the store has been declining but it is not measurable to the decline in last 3 months. Carts are broken down, terrible smell in the deli section, terrible selection of fruits and vegetables, overall huge messnin the store throughout all isles. Manager/customer service station incredibly messy with stuff all over the place in front of the desk as well as on the desk...So overall a mess and huge decline in cleanliness and store upkeep from the entrance in circle to the exit.

We went in May '22 and I noticed the entrance was dirty. This wasnt the Marianos I had gone to. Yesterday 9/24 we went and the store was horrendous. A bad smell started from somewhere near the bakery. As we walked, it got stronger. By the time we got back by the fish/meats we wondered if they had rotting animals. This is not an exageration. Things that used to be in the kosher section were not. The aisles are so narrow you have to wait for the people. As a handicapped person, manned checkouts are easier. There were three open with long lines. No choice but to opt for self checkout which was packed as well. The bad smell all along from the bakery to the back of that section was so strong, I will no longer go to that Marianos. Im afraid to try others.

I had a Kroger Rx Savings Club card, but I went to get my medicine, the people at the Mariano's pharmacy wouldn't accept the card. They gave me a lot of excuses. I've cancelled the membership. Useless. Also, some of the people work there including the pharmacist and some of the techs were rude when I've showed the membership card for the savings.
