My 2011 Cadillac SRX suddenly quit, the message on the dashboard was “no remote detected “. After one shop told me they could not service my issue and I had to call the dealership, I called McCormick Auto care and was told yes, they can service my car! After getting my car towed and diagnosed, I was told all I needed was new battery! I appreciate the honesty, service and fair price.

My Acura dealership gave me a recommendation to completely replace my left rear axle because of a small leak they saw in one of the seals. The mechanics at McCormick auto performed their own inspection and found no reason to make that change. They also looked at 3 other recommendations from the dealership and only made one, the one that needed to be made. These guys are always on point, communicative and transparent. Great service and honest work. What more can you ask for. Thank you McCormick Auto for taking care of me the right way.

I've taken cars to McCormick three times now and had work done. Their prices are very high: dealership prices on parts and they charge a diagnostic fee regardless of whether you have already have done the work and notify them of the problem. Ideally I would give them 3.5 stars because my only complaint is their pricing - opted for 4 stars. The work they did met my expectations, the staff is friendly and communicative, and our cars were returned as clean as they entered the shop. Maybe I'm simply new and in the Skokie/Evanston area these prices are common, but it makes me miss my old mechanic whose prices were on the high side of fair (not beyond it) and they did a similar good job on customer service. We will be looking around for another shop because of the diagnostic fees and since the amount charged for our last visit was higher than what was quoted - which I assumed was an upper end quote since it was so high.

I shuttle between different mechanics but I always have a good experience when using McCormick auto. This morning I came in with leaky tire. At first they said would be a while but Jeff stepped up and said he’d do it right away. I was out in less than an hour and didn’t need to go home and come back. Thank you Jeff

Lube and oil. Also checked steering rattles. Didn’t try to oversell what was needed. Very easy to work with. Fast and good communication. I’ll go back next time.

My mechanic for decades had passed away, but before doing so, referred all of his customers to McCormick Auto Care. Today was my first visit. I explained my issue to Russ and he took down my information and keys. He warned me they were unexpectedly busy and I might be there all day. I settled in to wait. After a while I decided to order some food delivery. I was pleasantly surprised when my car was repaired and ready to go before my food arrived. I'm very grateful they took care of the issue so quickly and I was done hours earlier than expected. Russ explained everything that needed to be done and I was on my way. Great experience overall and I'm glad to have a new trustworthy mechanic!

The mechanics did an excellent job in checking everything on my car and they did not find things to repair! I got an oil change cheaper than at jiffy lube and without being convinced to do extras! I will definitely have my Honda CRV serviced by them again. I am one very happy customer.

Needed a wheel alignment after replacing some front end suspension components. Searched Google and found McKormick since it was near my job. Very pleased with the service and communication they provided. Excellent job on the alignment. Technician adjusted toe and camber. Vehicle feels much more stable and handles great. Will be going back for more work.
