Everytime I come to this specific location, there’s never a worker in sight. I’m stuck having to walk around the entire store several times before I give up and go to the cashier who gets agitated because they aren’t supposed to leave the cash register. Also- be aware because sometimes their selection online isn’t what they have in store even though that’s what they claim.

I recently stopped on this store to purchase an item I had found through Google and said was available at this location for in-store pickup. I totally understand that internet pages are not always up to date when it comes to actual in-store inventory. I would never blame a store employee for that in any way.
My issue is that when I entered the store and asked the person in front if they had any of the item I wanted to purchase in stock and where in the store I might find it, she curtly replied that they don’t carry anything like that in the store. I asked if she was sure since it said online that it was at least a product that is sold in store (again, even if they didn’t have any in stock) and she looked at me with the most disgusted look and said super slowly and mockingly, “Yeah, I, am, suuure.” I was taken aback by her tone. It felt hostile and condescending—the lack of professionalism, interest in helping me, and basic social respect.
Instead of leaving, I walked into the store and looked for the section I thought it might be if they did have it in stock. Not only was it carried in stores but they had three in stock.
When I returned to pay for the item at the checkout and let her know that they do sell the item in store and they had multiple, she snapped at me that “we haven’t had it in stock, which is why I said that.” There was no interest in learning wheee the item was located. There was no effort to apologize or even at least just recognize that she’s glad that I found what I was looking for. Instead, she essentially ignored me while another younger associate who had witnessed the whole thing rang me up sheepishly and silently in her presence.
This was not in any way something that caused me hurt or pain. Nothing major or that needs to be blown out of proportion. I will continue frequenting Michael’s locations and doing business with them. But it certainly won’t be at this specific store again.

My experience there was amazing shopping last min for graduation accessories for my princess designs a guy there name dean made my experience dope and successful with only15 mins to shop we found everything we needed. Dumbs up to Michaels. In Skokie your staff rocks

Was here maybe 15 minutes ago, the older lady with the bob hair cut was RUDE and very pushy, the cashier who was an absolute sweetheart was very sweet and caring. As she was scanning our stuff the older lady with the bob white hair with glasses came out of no where and PUSHED/SHOVED almost hitting the lady to move. She had not acknowledged us until she saw how much we were buying, she then asked us if we wanted to sign up for a credit card. The lady was so ignorant and rude. Very happy the cashier was a sweetheart and offered so much help. Really hope i don’t see an INCIDENT happen like this.

I had a photo that I wanted framed and was a bit at a loss in how to do it. Valeria (I think I got that right) was so helpful and it came out beautifully. This was my first time using their framing services but won’t be my last. Look at how cool this is!

My husband, a friend, and I came to this Michaels to use a few gift cards. Gift cards that we found while packing to move out of the country in 8 days. A woman in herate 30's, early 40's with shortish brown hair helped me figure out how much I had on each card. One card had about $12, the other $50. While normally this would be an easy way to spend money, but as already mentioned, moving out of the country, so trying to minimize what we are taking. Found a couple of small items I can pack away. Tried to find things and decided maybe buy a gift card for a restaurant. Went to the register, the cashier had a problem, called the original woman who assisted me on finding out the amount on the cards. As soon as I said I wanted to buy a GC using my GC, she became dismissive, rude, and as she was "explaining" that NO ONE WILL ALLOW THIS, she was walking away, leaving me stare at the back of her head. I was and still am fine with not being able to purchase a GC using a GC. My issue is she did not show me common courtesy or respect to stand still and soeak to me face to face.
I was going to let it go, but three hours later, it's sitting on my mind and not in a good way.
She should do better.

Staff are TOTALLY unknowledgable about crafts and don’t make effort to help. You have wide eyed lost youth and geriatrics working here. Find another store. Wayyyy overpriced too.
