Staff are super friendly, helpful and extremely efficient in helping you navigate your account via cellphone. They have helped me save a LOT of money via my account/points. Some are pet owners as well and give great advice and share personal experiences with customers to help with questions and overall pet care.

I was the newest customer of the cat distribution system (I had a stray cat walk into my house and decide it was his home.) I’ve never had a cat and know nothing about taking care of them. Jessica walked me through everything I needed very patiently. She was incredibly helpful and made sure I got the coupon booklet to save money on my purchases. An absolute Angel. Trey who checked me out was also lovely and super helpful and patient. Best Petco employees ever!!!!

Im in my car in the parking lot as im writing this review cause thats how upset i am about my experience. I came to this location looking for kitten food for my cat - as i went to the cat area - aisle i didnt see what i was looking for - so i proceeded to walk the store up to the register where i didnt see anyone so i walked the side where the grooming is where i seen Mr. Jordan scooping the litter i showed him a picture of what i was looking for and he immediately dropped what he was doing and came to my aid to assist me in finding it... not until we get over back to the cat area Jessica (another worker) says to him "go back to the front ill help her" so then i say "oh well where were you just a min ago" & she then proceeded to say "i was right here on this aisle" which was clearly a lie cause i just walked the store and aisle to look for assistance ... anyways she then proceeded to tell me they dont have what i was looking for so i said "wow ok" - (mind you im on the telephone with my mother who overhead everything and as im telling her it back ) jessica proceeds to condientstaly say "you have a good day" and in my knowledge in retail - people say that when theyve known theyve done wrong and try to make themselves feel better when the customer is expressing their experience to someone... cause how you have him running cashiers - cleaning poop & helping customers but you claimed you were on that aisle...

Grooming at the Skokie location is under new management as of approx October 2024. We groom our labradoodle monthly and have done so with the new manager for well over a year (at her former location and 2 times at the Skokie location). She always bathes, brushes him out and cuts his hair and nails to our specifications (the upgraded service). Our dog is always happy to see her. No matter what grooming salon you go to You should always specify exactly what cut (if any) and details you want. Having used numerous groomers at various places (big box and private), always call ahead to any new groomer and make sure at least one of their groomers is familiar with your dog’s breed and the cut you want. This is true everywhere.

Great experience getting my dog vaccinations/medications. Quick and easy in and out and great customer service. They were even able to meet/beat med pricing from other vendors. Thanks, Petco!

I came in for cat food and requested assistance from employee Carson regarding options. Carson immediately stopped his project and walked me to the cat products. He explained Petco's brand and asked more questions about the eating habits of the cat. He then showed me several other options. Carson explained how they evaluate a ripped bag. And then Carson explained cat litter detailing the advantages of different brands. He was extremely professional and helpful.
Trey was efficient at ring out, asked if I had a store card and how I'd like my receipt.

This is a decent pet store when they actually have stuff in stock. We've gotten to the point where we actually have to call ahead before making a trip out there because several times they've been out of crickets, worms, frozen pinky mice, and whatever else my daughter feeds her frog.

I absolutely love this petco. The training classes are amazing. the trainers are as well. They are so compassionate about what they do. The entire staff is amazing, kind and helpful.

Bought guinea pig supplies, and the sloth cozy home was defective! The floor insert has large patches of missing fur, and the outer hutch has padding missing in the bottom! Neither were notceable until the connecting ties were cut. Ugh! Poor quality control!
