3 years ago I spent a fortune furnishing my new home through Room & Board. I bought a Stevens Sectional there for $6k. Soon after I got it feathers started coming out of the cushions. I spoke to their customer service and was told it was normal and would stop and I should vacuum the cores. As time has gone on every day I pick up 10-15 feathers on the floor. I've called customer services multiple times and have been told that the feathers are supposed to come out and the cough has a 'relaxed' feel. After 3 years it looks like a bunch of bean bags. Customer service has been gaslighting me and other people, the same complaints have been put on the website concerning this product. If the product is bad or defective I hoped they'd do something, but I get nothing but gaslighting when I call. Basically I'm told to watch a video about fluffing my cushions. Meanwhile, I'm getting stuck with feathers poking through and feeling like I have egg on my face from getting rooked into thinking an expensive couch is a quality couch. Buyer beware.

Wanted to let others know we had a very positive experience at Room and Board in Skokie. When we went in we had excellent customer service from Jonathan, he showed us some different fabric options that we were interested in as we had received some swatches and we were not sure of which one to choose. Today we had our delivery and it went well. They were on schedule, courteous and efficient (Ben and Mark). We cautioned them of our newly installed carpeting so they removed their shoes.

Overpriced mediocre furniture. The saleswomen was lazy and rude. She wouldn’t even bother getting her rather large posterior off her chair to show me furniture that I was looking for!

We bought sofas chairs kitchen table and end tables 2 1/2 years ago. Loved them when we bought them and they still look great. Service has been amazing for giving me touch up pen and stain for a few nicks over the years. Perfect advice for cleaning leather ottoman also. They are the best!!

We came to take a look at the furniture on 02/07/21 at this location. Store supposed to close at 6:00pm, we came in 5:15. There was about six sales people who was not working with everyone. Nobody greeted us at all. We made couple of rounds around the store trying to find a bed that we are planning to buy next week. The sales where practically running from us. Not even one person came to ask if we needed help. As much as we like the quality of the furniture the costumer service at this particular location is appalling. One of the male sales was walking past us pointedly looking at his watch. We are previously shopped at this location and to be honest, the sales are extremely rude and unprofessional here. I wouldn’t be surprised that a lot of people who comes to this particular location and meet this unwelcome atmosphere taking their business elsewhere. You would think for the prices they charge for the furniture costumer service should be at least equally great. Unfortunately this is not the case. Very disappointed.

Nice, helpful staff. Quality, stylish furniture. Prices are not cheap but I think it’s ok for the quality—other places that are equal price are not equal quality, and there are places that cost even more for not much gain in functionality or quality. Since they NEVER have sales or discounts, you don’t have to wait for a certain season or hunt for coupons—just pull the trigger when you’re ready. This store is very pleasant to be in, with lots of space and tons of furniture on display. One downside is it may take months to receive your item after ordering it—we ordered a couch in late March and could have gotten it in July if we picked a standard fabric, or September with a custom color. Not the kind of place where you run to grab a piece for your in-laws to sleep on when they visit next week. Overall we had a pleasant experience and would recommend the brand and this store specifically.

Reviewing the location only. Some of the sales people here are weirdly standoffish. For the amount of money one can spend here at a whack they should be more helpful and friendly.

I have recently bought two chairs and a floor lamp from R & B, all at different times. Chose all online, but went into the Skokie store to try out the recliner. All experiences were great. The website, the service in the store (Sherri K) the delivery and the products.
