I walked into the Old Orchard Sephora store this evening 1/16/24, confused on what to buy. Pretty overwhelmed and immediately I was warmly greeted by your beauty advisor Taral, she took the time to ask me questions about what I’m currently using and why it’s not working, she really took the time to listen and make recommendations based on my skin and my expectations out of a foundation. Taral also color matched me, and tried a few shades on me, we ended up finding a perfect match. And it all wouldn’t have happened had I not worked with Taral. I ended up buying 2 more products recommended by Taral. I haven’t been a consistent customer with Sephora, and my experiences have been lackluster but Taral totally changed that for me. She really is happy to help and seems to really love the Sephora brand, please give Taral at the Old Orchard store all the praise she deserves it! She has made me a loyal Sephora customer. Thank you Taral!!!!

Here to comment on the amount of pre teens here ruining samples and honestly making the experience stressful. Pushing through people to look at products.Sephora should make them come with an adult who can watch them as they shop.This Sephora in general is always packed with pre teens. Making the experience chaotic and unorganized.Most samples on the floor are also empty or missing.

Not sure why everyone who works here is incompetent. If I ask for a specific sample, why not only you give me the wrong one, but also try to persuade me to get something else? And the sample given to me was the wrong color. Go figure.

First of all, the lady who works with face creams was incredibly helpful in assisting me in finding a great face moisturizer. Natasha was fantastic in helping me select colors that would complement my complexion. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Thank you, guys!

I forgot how expensive makeup is. VERY expensive but money well spent thanks to Mark. All of his recommendations were spot on as far as color matching and product quality and I am very happy with my purchase.

Shopping at this location is always iffy. I’m usually a frequent at Ulta across the street because 1/3 of the time I’m always met with hostility from these Sephora employees. Today, I decided to stop by quickly to redeem my birthday reward but I decided to browse different hair styling products as the one I normally use was out of stock.Good luck peacefully browsing at this location though! They’ll follow you and have everyone (security included!) watching you like you’re about to steal even though I didn’t have anything in my hand until it was time for me to checkout. I gave them no reason to suspect that I was there with bad intentions (besides the fact that I was just a young ethnic girl with tattoos)… I was just a customer looking and comparing different products- is that a crime?I understand it’s a business and there’s protocols and policies but it’s another thing when it’s very apparent that you’re cornering innocent customers based on assumptions. I remember why I stopped shopping at Sephora.

I love to shop at Sephora, tho i love to visit different branches, my experience at this location was great all the time, except the “last visit” on (Tuesday August,22 Around 6:50Pm) the cashier was soooo much rude, she barely answered my questions and she was just making stupid annoying faces.PS: unfortunately i don’t remember her name! But SEPHORA you need to train some of your cashiers.Thankyou!

By far one of the best experiences at this Sephora. One of the employee’s, Mary was so amazing and helped me out so much with makeup advice and products. She is super sweet and nice. I am so thankful for Mary, for taking her time to help me find the right products for my makeup and what color fits best for me. She was extremely knowledgeable and great with everything! Thank you Mary and look forward to seeing you again when I visit!

The employee name Nick, White guy with black hair and piercings on his face, was so disrespectful to my fiancé and she left crying because he accused her of damaging a product thinking she was not going to buy it and accused her of stealing. The only reason he spoke to her like this is because she is Muslim and wearing a hijab and looks nice so it is easy to be mean to her. Other girls were doing the same but he decided to harass her instead. He is islamaphobic and takes advantage of nice people.

On Saturday there must have been a sales contest going on because I have never felt more attacked by Sephora employees before. Most of them would back down when I said I didn't need help and just wanted to look. One refused to take no for an answer. She kept telling me that she knew a lot about the line I was looking at. When I didn't ask any questions and said I just wanted to look she pushed further. And offered to go get the rep who was in the store that day. Again I said I didn't need help. She kept pushing me until I left the store. I lost count of how many times I told the same person I wanted to just shop on my own.

This was the most inviting experience I've had in a beauty store or department. Every single employee was so kind and welcoming! I was just browsing and even though I didn't need help I was approached a couple times and all of them were lovely. Specifically, the gentleman in skincare and the woman on fragrance on the morning of 4/4! You were both so kind and are the biggest reason for this review.
