Liked the store. It has a lot of different things to buy. Great prices!

Typical dollar store with a good selection of general merchandise. I came to this store to get a Tracfone time/text refill card. The Gays Mills store is the only place in my immediate area that carries them.

Love this location! Steve was a pleasure although he was seemingly a "one man show". He was literally running back and forth between stocking and ringing out customers. He was the only one I saw the entire 40 minutes I was in there. Thank you Steve! I hope you see this! You're doing a wonderful job!

Terrible terrible cashier that’s all of 18 maybe with a face that doesn’t even make eye contact.. doesn’t welcome you, speak as she’s checking you out or gives you the total!! It’s a joke that fact that they’re are paying her to “work”..I bought 8 glass cups and watched as she put them all in one Bag like they were chips..!! I asked her for bags so I could seperate them so they wouldn’t break and she gave me the dirtiest look ever .!! I’ve purchased breakables before and never have they thrown them in a plastic bag!!! Don’t work in costumer service if you Don’t Have Costumer Service skills!!

Not enough employees to stock and organize things on the shelf. Hard to find things. Those that work there are kind and helpful, the just need more of them.

Standard size "dollar" store. Most items are $1.25 now, tho some cards are still just $1 (or two for a dollar).Aisles are usually pretty well organized and without trip hazards. But, because it's a smaller store, some items aren't in stock. Today, no soft drinks in the small fridges at front of store, for example. Another day, only tiny or huge gift bags; nothing midsize.Even so, some fun bargains. And staff has always been courteous and helpful in my experience.

The assistant manager at the South Elgin location served me in the check line today. He was super conversational and very friendly. I’ve been down on my luck lately and he brightened my day so much by simply being there to small talk with me and smile at me. I felt very welcome at this store. He is an absolutely fantastic guy.

I love the fact that customer 's are being held responsible for theft, when they're kids open the toy packets. Run through the store and toss it down. It's left, it cannot be repackaged for sale during a pandemic. Customer 's should stop using retail stores as entertain and babysit they're kids. The era of entitlement is over. Be responsible for what you damage in the store, and out the store. Karen's no longer get they're way. The stores are clean and free from kids trashing it.

Please make sure you get a receipt every time you check out because they will not allow an exchange for dollar items if you don’t have your receipt. It shouldn’t even be an option not to make a transaction without a receipt if you are going to hassle customers for not having one. If you don’t have a receipt you can’t read the return/exchange policy. Secondly, make sure that when you are checking out that the cashier scans all the items and don’t just scan any item when processing your transaction because even with a receipt they will deny your exchange. I had bought a bunch a things for a charity Christmas party, on several visits, some of the items I didn’t need, but now I’m stuck with them instead of being able to exchange them for items I could have used. Mary the manager was no help
