Wait about 1 hour for change battery on my iPhone and they told me that they don’t have any battery for 14 pro max . But Apple Store recommended me their service shop like official partner and made appointment. Just waste my time

I had an employee immediately greet me at the door and ask if I needed anything, which I was really hoping for because I was incredibly nervous. Had no idea how pickup worked. I had to wait a while, there were 2 employees working for geek squad, but none for pick up for about 5 minutes. Someone helped me and they were so kind :)

I purchased a computer for my grandson and it was supposed to be delivered to me by January 2 and it is not here yet. No one is able to help even though UPS has not received the merchandise for delivery. Their 800# transfer you to UPS" record that the product was not received from Best Buy... The resolution is a big loop of "customer service promises," and no real ability to resolve the most basic problems! This is five days now and I have not been able to get past their failure of a resolution desk! Things when it goes well is great but the wait to resolve matters is unacceptable. Cancelling my order and credit card! Customer service should have some resolution! Best Buy had let me down!

We purchased a Toshiba 50" LED 4K that all of a sudden blacked out, no picture. We pulled up our information and discovered we had the protection plan. I called them and within minutes found out that the TV model I purchased was no longer being manufactured. They replaced this with a new TV. We have purchased many TV's and items from Best Buy. I am extremely happy with the professionalism of the Geek Squad at South Elgin and the fast service on line that I received. Please get the service warranty if you shop at South Elgin, you will not be disappointed if something happens to your TV!! Very happy customer.

First, let me say that I have been a Best Buy customer for 4 decades now. I've always appreciated their selection and service. Most recently I visited the South Elgin Best Buy for the first time post-pandemic and immediately was greeted, as they normally do, however, the young man caught me a little off guard by asking "What brings you to Best Buy today?". I didn't expect that level of service by a greeter but hey, I liked it. I told him I was shopping for a new A/V receiver as my old one bit the bullet. He effectively guided me to the right section of the store and we went on our merry way. I unfortunately was taken aback by the lack of product on display and it looked like they were using their retail space like a warehouse. cardboard boxes everywhere. I understand buying patterns have changed over the years and especially after the pandemic, but the place just looked a little disheveled. Kind of like me after a tough day at work. I'm still me but a bit worn and I'll need a little time to freshen up. The product that I wanted to take a closer look at was out of stock (shame on me, because I did a little research beforehand on their website and could have easily seen that this location didn't have any left). Disappointed, I started to walk away when two employees came up to us, asking if we needed help and one of them, Tristen, immediately took charge and looked up to see if they possibly had one. They didn't but he offered to place the order and have my purchase delivered the next day free of charge. Done! I know in this day and age that the next-day free delivery thing is commonplace, but that's not what struck me, it was the way in which we were treated. Quick, courteous, friendly, on-point, and effective. By the way, I just installed the a/v receiver which was delivered as promised.

I purchased 2 lap tops a Year ago. Both of them are no good. I've had to take one of them in twice to be worked on by the Geek Squad. I asked for a phone number or contact number for Corporate and was told that the only way you can contact them is to write a letter. The Sales people make all kinds of promises to make you feel that you are making a good purchase but when their product breaks down there is no way to get help from anyone. Also, around the time of the lap tops I also purchased a TV.. Picture was gone within the Year. I will never purchase anything from them again, neither will my family or friends.

What is going on with Best Buy!! You can no longer call a store directly, you get channeled to a service call center. Terrible customer service, just terrible! They clearly need competition because their customer service (coming from corporate) is horrible!

This review is regarding Geek Squad specifically. I went in because my phone would not turn on/charge. I only got a black screen for about 5-6 hrs, tried reboots and such according to the apple website. So I go into see the geek squad and they run a diagnostic test and the guy tells me my phone is shot and I will need a new one. He lays out 2 options 1) have it shipped to me or 2) go into the Apple Store to pick up one. He first checks if it's under warranty, it was not (the phone was 14 months). So then he is like go to your provider and see what your best options are since it is not covered. I head over to the AT&T store and tell the guy my issue and he runs a reboot on it and it works. He said it just must have been a glitch causing it to have a black screen. And this guy is a salesman... why the heck couldn't the Geek Squad guy figure this out? The phone works, so diagnostic testing should come back fine, right? Kinda suspicious. Won't go back to see the geek squad again.

If you would like to see the worst customer service ever please visit the store in South Elgin. I reserved a Sony X90 Bravia TV through the Bloomingdale store and was told it would be at the South Elgin location waiting my arrival. I immediately headed to the South Elgin location. When I went to the South Elgin location to pick up the TV they told me to wait and it would be out shortly. 15 minutes later the tv still was not there. I asked another Best Buy rep about this and they told me they sold the last Bravia TV! I was advised I could head to Dekalb or Kilderre to pick up the TV!! I immediately asked to speak to a manager and 15 minutes later I was still waiting for a manager! I went to the customer service section and asked for a refund and they told me this was "unfortunate timing on my part." I said on my part what about your systems not holding the TV for me sounds like you have horrible logistics systems! I have to wonder did Best Buy South Elgin play the system and go for that extra sale knowing they could just tell me to drive another 45 minutes to obtain the TV in DeKalb. Also, why did I have to wait a total of 30 minutes without someone acknowledging me. I've been shopping at Best Buy for as long as I can remember and I think this will be my last experience with them. Best Buy please don't blame a customer for your error!

First, it took us FIVE weeks to get the right refrigerator. We were given a gift card as a "sorry for the inconvenience". Went to the store to buy a webcam. First, no competent help was available. Second, The website claimed the webcam we wanted was in stock, they were completely out. We received the tired old excuse "the website in unreliable". It's incidents like these that will lead to Best Buy going under. Mark my words.
