“Absolutely love the DG family, and when you shop there as much as I do, and see them every day, they become like family. All of the ladies and Jay are extremely helpful and really sweet. Now if only they made it into a market place so I wouldn’tHave to go anywhere else to buy my meat and veggies! Truly a staple for Fosterburg citizens and surrounding areas! Nice clean aisles to walk through, everything easy to find! Come check them out!”

“Always great experience, friendly staff, clean Carts etc. But I went in today and noticed they have started to put red dots on almost all the prices. I understand that is probably coming from their corporate. But I feel like they should have to either put prices on the dots, or have a sheet list with categories with prices, or they shouldn't stock said item until price is listed. “I've become a fan of shopping in Woodriver. Everything I need with way less traffic than Edwardsville. This Dollar Tree had everything I'd hoped for Back to School needs. That stuff is expensive and this place had the stuff for way less. Get the basics here, then go elsewhere. Anyway, it was a clean store, kind staff, everything was where you'd expect. The parking lot is a bit rough.”
“I come here everyday my favorite store to buy snacks all of the employees are friendly and helpful but the one who outstands the most is Dimitri he very welcoming and helpful to everyone that comes in he is the reason I shop from these guys everyday he handles everything in a professional and respectful manner”
“Love this place and their different weekly sales and all the different seasonal stuff is awesome to check out. Parking lot is huge and there hasn't been much of a wait time when waiting in line to Check our- although this last time we were wrapped around the line and down into an isle, about 12 people total, and they never would call up a backup Cashier and there was at least 2 other workers on the floor so... but aside from that things have been great there!”
“People need to pickup after them self . My wife is in a wheelchair, sometimes it's hard to maneuver through the aisles when people drop things. Not the stores fault.”
“Clean, nice employees, you can walk through the aisle and get what your looking for without having to worry about a whole lot of boxes in your way nor the dangers of them falling down on your head or kid like the Glen Carbon store. Very organized and their grocery aisles have a lot of variety.”

I had a fantastic experience at Dollar General! The store was clean, well-stocked, and easy to shop in, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service.
Employees went above and beyond to help me find what I needed and made me feel genuinely welcome. They were friendly, professional, and patient, with the customers It’s rare to find employees who take pride in their work and treat customers with such respect and kindness.
It’s clear that the staff at this Dollar General care about their community and their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back great prices, great products, and even better people!

When I first got here in early 2017 it was run down & disorganized, the employees were negative...but then corporate stepped up and remodeled, moved some people around, and now it's really a positive experience. If they could only figure out why the one cooler keeps breaking now lol.”
“This is honestly the best family dollar I've been to. I'm a regular, and every time I've come in, their store is spotless. That should scream volumes for upper management, considering most Family Dollar, Dollar General, Dollar Tree stores are a mess in almost every isle, and the employees look defeated. This store specifically, stays clean and the employees are always happy and helpful. Switching management was a good move. The new Store manager has dedication that all managers need. This is why all of her employees are happy, which in return, those same employees spread that happiness to their customers! Great job guys!”

“I go here 3x a week and love it. I know it may be messy or boxes but its expected when they don't have a crew to unload and stock shelves. They work hard cashiering and doing it in between when they can. Love the Glen Carbon location. Staff is very nice and friendly. Makes it a plus.”

“2/7/25 I didn't get the girl's name who was working, first thing this morning. But, she went above and beyond in helping me. I VERY RARELY go inside any stores anymore as I have multiple disabilities and can't walk or stand for very long at all. This girl (employee) volunteered to find the products I was looking for!! She found the products and rang me up quickly. You sure don't see this kind of employee, often anymore. She definitely made me feel like I mattered and treated me very kind. There just aren't enough words to express my gratitude to this amazing woman. I will never forget her kindness!! Oh, I just thought to check my receipt.
