“I want to express my gratitude for the assistance I received at the Springfield, Illinois store this week. I was looking for an unusual battery terminal clamp for a 2012 Lexus CT200h. This is a JIS battery and are difficult to find around here. The small pencil post on the negative terminal of my bad battery broke off while attempting to remove the cable due to heavy corrosion. I finally found a battery, but no one had a replacement clamp. I called the Lexus dealer and they told me only two were available in the whole Country - and they wanted $45 for it!I stopped by Continental Battery in Springfield and spoke with Spenser, who offered to fabricate a clamp for this battery. He made a great clamp in a couple hours that was a far better quality than the factory clamp and fit great on the battery for NO CHARGE. I am now back in business with my car!It is awesome to find employees like Spenser, that go above and beyond their typical duties and are very rare to come across in today's world. His service was greatly appreciated and that's one of the reasons I have supported this business for nearly 30 years!! Thank you Spenser and all of the staff in the Springfield store!”

“New Year's Eve, and this was the only battery shop open when I needed to replace the factory battery in a family member's car. The technician's name was Mike, and he was FAST and meticulous. Everything part he removed had a place, and when it was all said and done, he tested several different things to be sure everything was working correctly before sending me on my way. What would have been charged with "labor hours" at other places was a simple $20 installation at Staab. I was thoroughly impressed by the clean facility, polite employees, and speed with which the job was done. Will definitely spread the word.”
