CEFCU has really low loan rates but what they fail to explain is that their automated payment system isn't reliable, and when it fails to automatically process payments, you are responsible. This means that they don't really offer automatic payments because you have to manually check every month to make sure that it works. Of course, they don't use 21st century methods to contact you when their automatic payment system fails. Not a text, not a phone call, not an email. Nope. They send a letter in the mail, the same form of communication used by the Pony Express 150 years ago. I'm sure the executive leadership at CEFCU entertained the idea of communicating with customers through pigeon carriers and smoke signals too. By the time you receive your letter about their failed automatic payments processing, they've already tacked on late fees.If you want a low rate and you don't mind playing games and dealing with constant headaches, choose CEFCU. You can usually reach a representative within 130 minutes to 270 minutes, give or take an hour or two. Although they claim to receive emails, they do not respond to them. It's just a fun way for them to provide more terrible service.If you just want a loan that you don't have to babysit, go someplace else.

Do not use. When you ask them to explain there processes and how things works you will be told that they aren't gonna deal with this and then get hung up on. If I could give zero I would. They cause nothing but problems

The most annoying bank I have ever dealt with. I will never bank here again. Trying to call someone, they have to call you back and they just keep transferring your call. Nothing can ever be done over the phone. No one is helpful unless you go in person.

After paying off my car and closing out my account with CEFCU. CEFCU sold my information to Liberty Mutual. Liberty Mutual then sent me a letter from CEFCU designed to look like a late bill. This is a garbage practice.

I would not recommend useing this banking system at all. I can use my bank account or card to pay on my load I have to make transfers. And while doing that, there was a transfer that was made that wassent correct. I went to fix it so my own bank account wouldn't get overdrafted and now they want me to pay the6back almost 500$ for money that wasn't even there's an came from my paycheck. Also they don't notify you when makeing transfers that may put you in debt.

Horrible place nothing but problems and issues since I started banking here wanted me to come inside withdraw $3,000 even though I'm a known customer that comes in every week but the store was closed for another 5 minutes they told me I needed to wait ridiculous won't be back we'll take all of my money somewhere else I suggest you guys do the same

The people working here are nice .But this bank is like walmart 2 min transaction takes 20 min or longer.Drive thru is a disaster to get n and out.Hire more people or train the ones u do have better.thank you

I had to open a savings/checking account to receive a deposit. I opened the account. Couple hours later called to see if my deposit was in. I was told it was so I went up to cefcu to make a withdrawal but was told my account wasn't open yet. Told the teller I talked to someone who said my deposit was in my account. I had to leave and come back my account wasn't open because some guy in Peoria had to sign something for my account to be open and for me to withdrawal the cash!! First experience with this bank wasn't a very good one so far

It is an absolute pleasure to do business here! I was recommended to try here after a few problems at another bank and I have had nothing but absolutely great experiences here since I joined. The dividend returns are amazing and I love the ease of moving and depositing money here. Recently I had a very large transaction where I needed a large sum of cash and my other bank could not accommodate. I came here and there was absolutely no problem getting the money I needed. I have heard nothing but great things from friends about their loan process as well!

Seems like every time I go in I have a problem. Couple months ago I went in to cash in some change lady says do you have a account I said yes I do she looked it up and said she would cash the change in but it would have to go into my account because I was overdrawn. Today I go in again with some change to cash in. This time my account is not overdrawn. Lady again asks do you have a account I said yes I do. Then she tells me she has to go ask permission to cash in the change? She comes back and says we can do it this time but we normally don't. I'm confused and can't get a straight answer all my concerns are always forwarded but I never hear anything back about the issue
