Went to self service teller on Legune Dr. Springfield, IL around 9 am Sunday. One machine would not dispense cash, the other one did OK. First machine gave no reason for not working, made me wonder if eventually my cash would come flying out for the next guy. In the future the mschine needs to message user on what the problem is and what to do about it.

Worst bank ever. Horrible customer service and they NEVER answer the phone - it is basically impossible to get in touch with anyone at this bank unless you go in person. -100/10 recommendation, will be moving my accounts to a different bank.

Chronically understaffed, clerks are nice but all of the executives are genuinely insufferable and could care less about you or your business, you are simply a NUMBER.

CEFCU had one drive through teller working with two lanes open during the busy lunch time. Some members, like me, have to use their lunch break to do business at this CEFCU because they close everything up at 5:00 PM. I used to make after hours payments at the ATM, but that is no longer available. The teller was doing a great job under the circumstances. The lines backed up but I could tell that she was giving it her best effort.

You can only do 6 free savings to checking transfers per month. Why you would need more than that is poor planning on your part.However, If you have a savings account, you may be limited to no more than six "convenient" withdrawals or transfers per month from the account free of charge. If so, blame your bank, not the Federal Reserve. The Fed, which had long imposed this limitation on savings accounts withdrawals, lifted it in 2020.This credit union is not as smooth as Heartland CU.

I love most everything about CEFCU! HOWEVER, the $8 fee to transfer your own money from savings to checking is ridiculous! My daughter recently incurred the fee. I suggested she call and enroll in the text alerts and they would probably refund the fee (which would have been good/appropriate customer service) she did call but apparently CEFCU could not afford to give her back her $8! Shame on you CEFCU!

DO NOT BANK WITH THIS CREDIT UNION IF YOU CAN AT ALL HELP IT! Their customer service will not work with you, give you nothing but attitude, and literally told me there is nothing they can do to help because they take their jobs seriously. I've never worked with any company that would say there is nothing to do and will happily take your money. The really sad part is that they don't even take the feedback provided to them to try and be better, they just are always right and the heck with their customers.

Do not bank with this credit union! Unless you want to be on the phone with them every couple weeks to get your debit card unlocked because they are blocking your purchases " because we suspected it of being a fraudulent charge"! I cannot run away from this credit union and back to an actual bank fast enough!
