Tried to rent a car due to my car being totaled bc the person that caused the accident turning on a red light right in front of me. The very young woman at the counter was curt with me even though I had a reservation and hold on a vehicle. I provided my documents requested and she said ..we can't use the credit card bc it was in my husband's name. I gave her another cc and she began typing it in. She also said smartly that it required $300 deposit bc I didn't have my insurance card. " do you have that amount? Other questions were met with snide expression. I then said let's just rent overnight due to their polocies.she then curtly said well " I'm not going to rent to you bc you don't like me!" I said it's wasn't her it was the business policies. I then said it's not a matter of whether I liked her enough..it was a problem with all the policies and the fact that they were the only Enterprise with a car available. She then said she was going to call her manager. I said she should go ahead and do that. Knowing that this young girl that couldn't have been older than 23 would not rent to me I sked to speak to the location manager and she rolled her eyes and said that she was the manager. She then called her mgr and came back to the counter and said they couldn't rent to me and I should trysomeplace else. I had a friend drop me off at the location bc I had already set up the rental and was expecting to just pick up. So I now had to get an uber to pick me up to take me home.Never in my life did I expect someone to tell me they couldn't rent to me bc I didn't like her!! How emotional and unprofessional!!

They never have cars in stock. Twice i booked with them and they didnt have a car to give me. The first time i got all the way out there after paying $14 for an uber to find out they didnt have any cars. The 2nd time i get a call 20 minutes before i need my rental to get on the road for work and was told they disnt have cars. I asked the woman could she check the other locations and i was told ahe didnt have time because she needed to call other customers to let tham know she disnt have cara. So why does it allow you to book a rental but they dont have cars to give you?

Every time I'm at this location i leave smiling.Staff are friendly and fast.I rent a lot of cars nationwide, this is by far my favorite place to do so.

I cannot speak highly enough about John Akers, the manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, at the Springfield airport in Illinois. Even before I was an actual customer at the counter, I remember one afternoon I was struggling to get my suitcases out of a vehicle right outside of the baggage claim doors. While John was walking with another customer to a vehicle, he stopped to help me with my suitcases, because he could see that I was struggling, and he did it with a smile!I work back-and-forth between Illinois and Texas, and every time I arrive I am always greeted by John’s pleasant attitude and care that he provides to each of the customers.Whenever I am in Springfield, I will always use this enterprise location as my choice to get a rental car because of the exceptional service I have received from John and his team!

I have rented cars from many Enterprise, the Abe Lincoln Airport Enterprise is my favorite. The employees are always friendly and so helpful. John and Yolanda have both been wonderful to me. Their customer service is outstanding. The cars are also clean

I have been an Enterprise Rent-A-Car client for the last 35 years during business and personal trips in areas throughout the country. Enterprise Rent-A-Car is who my corporation favored so that you I used too. From April through November this year I was visiting Springfield Illinois. In May I visited the Enterprise Rent-A-Car counter at the Springfield airport, one of many times during this period I needed a rental car. The lone counter representative turned my 35 years of being an Enterprise client into, “hmmm, there’s other Rent-A-Car company’s I can use.” She was very temperamental. I saw and heard many times other clients experiencing the same treatment. Just a lack of caring and customer centric service at times. If this lone Springfield Illinois airport Enterprise Rent-A-Car counter representative hadn’t turned me away so badly I’d never have visited the Avis Rent-A-Car counter across the lobby. I was an Avis customer for the remaining 5 months of my stay in Springfield and now have become their loyal customer.

Usually people write a huge paragraph complaining about their experience but mine has left me at awe that I had to write this long review. Their methods to ensure customer satisfaction is met goes above their call of duty. I am extremely satisfied with the service and appreciate all their efforts in making sure my rental experience with enterprise/National has been a great one. Their newly promoted manager Gloria Erasco and their manager John are definitely a great example of providing selfless service, going beyond their call of duty, and ensuring customer satisfaction is met. Every time I’m in town I make sure I get my rentals from your branch cause your service is incomparable. Thank you for your service

I received friendly, personal and efficient service from Dave and John. Very well managed business. I’ll definitely rent from Enterprise at Capital Airport again.

This is the worst enterprise I ever been to. When you see them treating different customers differently. I’ve been renting for years for work and never in my like have I ever experienced anything life this. I’ll give -5 stars if that is possible

Booked a rental car for vacation at this location on the app. Went to pick it up today and they wouldn’t let me rent the car because I didn’t have a credit card. You can only use a debit card if you fly in how d*** is that. Then the employee told my I could go into town at the other locations and use my debit card. Well they are all closed and we leave for vacation tonight. ? When I booked it it said nothing anywhere on the app or email that I could only use a credit card. Then we called customer service and the First Lady we talked to was nice and agreed with us. She then transferred us to a higher up employee who was nothing but rude and called us liars. Never will use enterprise again.

This 5 stars is only because of the ONE employee who was helpful the entire process. His name is robbie. I made sure to ask. He stayed at work late for us to get our replacement vehicle after our first one broke down. He sacrificed time with his family to make sure we had a vehicle for our trip and I'm very thankful. A bad experience was made much better because of this guy. Thanks so much robbie!
